URGENT: 15-Year-Old South African Girl Feared Abducted to Zimbabwe

Masego Sharney Idah Madipane, a 15-year-old South African girl, has gone missing and is believed to have been abducted to Zimbabwe. Last seen crossing the border with a boy on August 6, 2024, Masego sent a reassuring WhatsApp message to her mother, Shokie Moeng, stating she would return soon. However, she has not been heard from since.
Investigation and Search Efforts
Sergeant Merilyne Mmonwa of the Bushbuckridge police confirmed that authorities are taking all necessary measures to locate Masego. The police urge anyone with information to come forward.

South Africa faces alarming rates of child disappearances, often linked to human trafficking. Many cases involve children being exploited for sinister purposes, including witchcraft-related violence.
