Costco recalls waffles because of plastic film
A Costco supplier has recalled Kodiak brand waffles because some have been found to be contaminated with pieces of plastic film.
The manufacturer, Kodiak Cakes LLC, initiated the recall, which includes waffles that do not expire until Jan. 10, 2026. There is concern that consumers may have the waffles in their homes because of their long shelf life.
The implicated Kodiak Power Waffles Buttermilk & Vanilla are packaged in 40-count boxes and were shipped as recently as Aug. 25. the waffles were sold in 13 states: Iowa, Illinois, Indiana, Kansas, Kentucky, Michigan, Minnesota, Missouri, North Dakota, Nebraska, Ohio, South Dakota and Wisconsin.
The recalled waffles can be identified by the UPC number 705599019203 and a lot code of 24193-WL4.
As of the posting of the recall no injuries had been confirmed.
