Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.
GENERAL OUTLOOK
A low developing off the South Carolina coast is expected to track northwestward into the Carolinas later today, possibly become a Tropical Storm, bringing heavy rain and gusty winds. The low will slowly drift inland tonight through Tuesday, and weaken. By Wednesday, the remnant low will stall out over the Mid-Atlantic, while high pressure begins to build into the region from the north and west late in the week.
