An easterly flow regime over surface high pressure will maintain variable cloudiness and small shower chances through tonight. Low pressure off the Carolina coast could develop tropical characteristics and drift north or northwest into central and eastern North Carolina Monday through Tuesday. The low may stall somewhere over the Mid-Atlantic region during the middle of the week.
