Intriguing candidate emerges for Chicago Bulls head coach job
The Chicago Bulls’ head coach search is rolling on as the NBA moves into the conference finals portion of the schedule. With Chicago revamping the front office and also parting ways with Billy Donovan, it will usher in a new era for the franchise.
So far, Chicago has requested a few interviews with assistant coaches throughout the league but no official interviews have taken place. Once that happens, the process will certainly speed up a bit more. As the NBA Draft is under a month away and then the free agency period opening up after that, ideally the Bulls will have someone in place.
But now on Wednesday, an interesting name has emerged as a candidate.
Jerry Stackhouse is a candidate for Chicago Bulls job
Former North Carolina star and NBA All-Star Jerry Stackhouse is a name to watch in this coaching search. Per Marc Stein of The Stein Line, Stackhouse is a candidate for the Bulls in this coaching search:

He joins an already long list of potential candidates that the Bulls are interested in. That list includes some of the top assistants around the league.
For Stackhouse, he’s coached at different levels in the game. There’s a coaching background as he’s been able to learn from some of the best in the game as well.
Stackhouse has experience at the college level serving as Vanderbilt’s head coach. But he also coached at the G-League Level and then the NBA level as an assistant coach over the years. Most recently he was with the Golden State Warriors as an assistant coach but opted to leave to pursue other opportunities.
