After studying environmental science and wildlife biology in college, it has always been my understanding that due to the differences in biology between species it is very rare for conditions to exist where a virus is able to mutate and “jump” into a new species. My initial thought is that it is a strain that has been manipulated in a lab at some point. With that said, due to a previous push for invalid pokes in the arm, we now have a huge population that are potentially suffering from immune deficiencies. If this is indeed the case, then a virus that would normally not be a cause for concern could be a global killer… For those unfamiliar, you need an electron microscope to see a virus.
