The One New Man

As your mind is renewed to the fullness that is available in Jesus, a revelation unfolds revealing an assembly of people all fitted and joined together as a single new man. What a marvelous sight! It’s as if a body were being knitted together right before your very eyes. With delicate woven precision each individual part is being gathered together with a single strand of light. That thread is “truth” and it now holds you within a living, breathing organism.

Millions of unified cells stand poised on the edge of eternity united by a heavenly call. It is at that very moment that the Father of lights enters the heart of this new creation and a hush ensues as the Eternal King begins to speak; “I love you — I am well pleased with you, and I honor you this day”

The commanding power of the Maker’s voice echoes with waves of delight even reverberating to the four corners of heaven. His sweet inviting words kiss the face of every cell and they each blush with delight. The person to your left glances at you and nods, as if to confirm the wonder of being fully known; while the one on your right can do nothing more than giggle.

This “new man” is Jesus and it is the Father affectionately speaking to His Son. As you ponder the significance of this event, for the first time in your life you understand being made one with the Creator. All these cells are gathered together within this One New Creation and there is a sense of genuine connection which can only be described as “perfect fellowship”.

From this place of grace you begin to understand the benefits of really belonging to God. He is calling you to not only be a part of the whole, but also share in the knowledge of the One. For no one can say that they have seen Jesus from your vantage point, and it is this revelation that makes your service unique and essential.

Personal pride finds no footing, because you are more interested in hearing from each cell; “Tell me what you know about Jesus. Please, don’t hold anything back; I’ve got to know all about Him from where you stand!”

As you rest in the glow of His Glory you are filled with the splendor and the aroma of His eternal grace, you come to realize that the next moment in God’s Son will be as great and glorious as the last!

Because we are in Christ, God’s kingdom is available to us without limit and we gain a whole new perspective on life. A life that was once moved by fallen principles or a fallen nature can now be moved by the power of God’s Holy Spirit. This transition offers us new purpose and identity. By handing over the reigns of our heart, God is able to provide us with a true heavenly call; one that is formed and fitted within eternity.
