《干草堆，系列》
莫奈最喜欢画水。他搬到席芬尼后不久，就引溪水筑池，在池里种了黄、红、蓝、白和攻瑰色的睡莲。他对这些花的爱好，与日俱增，前后将近30年，屡画不厌，并且越画越大越抽象。在他晚年所绘的巨幅油画前，观者会有悬身于怪异水世界上空的感觉，看着白云的倒影在睡莲巨叶间的水面滑过。
