Gail the Actuary
Gail Tverberg is a writer and speaker about energy issues-- in particular the effect high oil prices have on the economy. Gail's back ground is in insurance, as an actuary--someone who makes forecasts and calculates rates for insurance companies. The issue we are facing now is that most of the cheap oil to extract has already been extracted. There is a lot of expensive oil left, but the expensive oil tends to cause recession.
