Innovators were always familiar with the handling of magnetism — the phenomenal feature of some material to attract iron.

But who, until now, was of the opinion, that all thinkable applications of this natural phenomena have been patented, have been wrong.

The 52-year-old machine builder Friedrich Lüling, from Schleswig-Holstein, in 1954, already created the basis for the Permanent Magnet Motor.

Meanwhile he is of the opinion to have completed his innovation far enough that he thinks it is the right time to present the new motor in the UFA-Wochenschau for the first time. [English: The German Weekly Review, was the title of the unified newsreel series released in the cinemas of Nazi Germany from 1940 until the end of World War II.]

[He said:]

“I have been able, contrary to the regular knowledge on permanent magnets, already in 1954, to neutralize permanent magnets.

“The rotating anchor is attracted by the magnetic system until close to the point where it gets stuck, [and] at that same moment, the neutralization of the magnets is taking place, so that the anchor can, without any force that is holding it back, without any rest magnetism, spin out.

“This neutralization is occurring in the running prototype at 290rpm – for 580 times in one minute.”

A Magnet Motor can with one set of magnets, without interruption, run for 10 to 20 years.

The applications of the Magnetic Motor are to be found in all areas. Not least as a car engine, without the annoying motor sound and health damaging exhaust. And already in this year, the prototype shall drive a car.

The value of this invention does show itself as well in the longstanding effort of others, to freeze the work, or in other words – to sabotage [supersede?] it.
