When I watched the movie, Mother, it made sense. To have a civilization that thrives there has to be some balance and not necessarily 50/50. Being all positive would mean no consequences dealt to someone who is negative and causes harm. You have to be willing to wield the powers of both polarities to be divine like. If someone perceives everyone as an enemy and wants to fight until only their kind survives, it has to be dealt with. If what they put out, they get back, then it’s time they are the enemy that dies.
