(Paraphrasing) Abraham was so righteous that God blessed his family and herd abundantly that they could not even share the same well. So, Abraham said to Lot you take half of the family and herd and go right and I’ll take the other half and go left.
Abraham has a reverse auction with God. If there are 50, 40, 30, 20, 10 righteous in that city I will not destroy it said God to Abraham.
Two Angels are sent to Lot’s house and enter. The evil men of that city were so wicked that they asked Lot to send out those two Angels to know them aka to have sex with them. Lot said don’t bring this evil upon my house, I’ll send out to you my two virgin daughters. The wicked men did not want the daughters rather the Angels. So, the Angels came to the door , raised their arms to the square and blinded the wicked men. Then told Lot, his wife and two daughters to head for the hills and don’t look back.
The evil wicked influence & curiosity upon Lots wife was so great that she looked back and turned into a pillar of salt.
Lots daughters got Dad drunk and had conjugal visits with Dad and conceived.
What most miss in this story is what happened to half of Abraham’s righteous family within the same generation after leaving Abraham ? They departed with Lot and were ALL BURNT & DESTROYED in Sodom & Gomorrah save only three !!!
Did half of Abraham’s righteous family change Sodom & Gomorrah or did Sodom & Gomorrah change half of Abraham’s righteous family ?
The fence posts sitting boundaries in our life have been removed. Choose the Light or Dark, Good or Evil, Love or Hate , Spiritual or Physical, Eternal or Temporal, Heaven or Hell, God or Satan…..God Creates, Satan Destroys, Satan Loses and God Wins….many battles the ultimate war God prevails….
Don’t be foolish and turn into a pillar of salt…
Head for the hills, islands, open seas, desserts, mountains, ranches, farms, woods….AND DON’T LOOK BACK !
The faith, lifestyle & life skills that our Grandparents had to survive The Great Depression , we shall need and much more as these latter days shall be the most trying times in human history as Biblically prophesied. A country boy can survive.
As for me and my house , we shall serve the Lord….
