I have been a huge Madonna fan ever since I was five years old during the Ray Of Light era. I have been wanting to see her in concert for years. I tried to win tickets to her Drowned World tour from a local radio station in 2001 and was not successful, and when my Dad saw the prices she was charging for the Reinvention tour in 2004, his response was basically “LOL nope.” So imagine my shocked Pikachu face when my brother got my husband and I tickets to see her in January at the Scotiabank Arena in Toronto. minimally talented Madonna has had a HUGE career in the spotlight against all odds because she is indeed a very smart and business-savvy woman that has lasted 4 decades

she s currently approaching 65 years old and still speaks out against prejudices within social norms

i m not much of a fan of most of her music work —— but i do respect just about all her advocacy work which is currently about ageism and sexism

again . i ve never been much of a fan of Madonna “ music “ —— but i do admire her longevity and advocacy and voice that she s emitted along her lonely pioneer road so that other women out there have a loud and solid precedent to choose to continue to work even when societal norms pressure women that their “ prime years “ ended upon reaching the age of 40
