ARP: Forrest City - Man Attempting Break-in Shot, Killed
Forrest City Police received a call around 3:26 a.m. about an attempted break-in at a home on South Center Street.
Just a few minutes later, officers were dispatched to East Midway and South Division to investigate reports of someone calling for help in an area directly behind Day’s Temple Church of God in Christ.
At that location, emergency personnel found 24-year-old Logan Like of Forrest City lying on the ground with a gunshot wound to the chest.
Despite efforts to save him, Like was pronounced dead on scene at 4:25 a.m. by St. Francis County Coroner Miles J. Kimble.
