Retired National Park Ranger Exposes Alleged Cover-Ups at Yosemite: Missing People, a Mysterious Death and Men in Black
Retired National Park Ranger EXPOSES Alleged Cover-Ups at Yosemite: Missing People, a Mysterious Death and Men in Black
A retired National Park Service ranger has come forward with an extraordinary series of allegations about what he says he witnessed during his decades working in America’s national parks.

And if even part of his story is accurate, the public may have been told only a fraction of what actually happens in some of America’s most remote wilderness areas.
In a shocking new interview, retired ranger Christopher George, who says he spent approximately 45 years working in parks and the National Park Service, describes unexplained deaths, missing people, strange creatures, alleged UFO activity, armed personnel arriving at restricted locations—and instructions from superiors to keep quiet.
The full interview is featured in Episode 166, and it is one of the most extraordinary conversations yet concerning unexplained activity in America’s national parks.
“You Could Lose Your Job”
According to George, park employees were explicitly warned not to discuss strange incidents with the public.
The reason, he claims, was simple: protect the reputation and revenue of the parks.
George says he was told that if he publicly warned visitors that certain areas were unsafe, he could face disciplinary action and potentially lose his job.
That allegation raises an uncomfortable question:
What happens when the people responsible for protecting the public are themselves told not to talk about what they encounter?
George claims that many rangers therefore remained silent—not necessarily because they didn’t witness unusual things, but because their careers, pensions and futures were at stake.
The Ranger Who Allegedly Died Under Mysterious Circumstances
One of the most disturbing stories involves a fellow ranger who was found dead in a remote area.
George describes finding the ranger’s body lying on granite with extensive broken bones but, according to his account, surprisingly little evidence explaining how the injuries occurred.
There was reportedly no obvious cliff at the location.
George says the rangers documented what they had found and submitted an official report.
Then, he claims, they were given a completely different story to tell.
According to George, a superior instructed them to say that the ranger had lost his footing and fallen from a cliff.
George says he objected that there was no cliff.
The response, according to his testimony, was essentially:
There was a cliff. That’s what happened.
He claims the ranger’s family was subsequently told that the man had fallen while riding a horse.
Then came another bizarre development.
George says two men arrived at the ranger office in a vehicle, entered the office, and later left carrying bags containing reports or documents.
He says nobody explained who they were or what happened to the records.
If this account is accurate, it would represent something far more serious than a mysterious wilderness death.
It would suggest an effort to control the official narrative.
A Child Who Simply Disappeared
Another story George tells is even more haunting.
A family was hiking on a well-traveled trail during daylight when a young child began falling behind.
The mother reportedly looked back repeatedly, watching the child only a few feet behind her.
Then she looked again.
The child was gone.
A search-and-rescue operation was launched.
According to George, investigators found the child’s footprints—but at a certain point, they simply ended.
No obvious struggle.
No clothing.
No signs of a predator attack.
No obvious evidence of an abduction.
Nothing.
Despite an extensive search, the child was never found.
George says the case was ultimately treated as an unresolved missing-person case.
And this is where the story connects with one of the most controversial subjects surrounding America’s national parks: unexplained disappearances.
Then There Was the “UFO” Incident
Perhaps the most explosive portion of George’s testimony involves an alleged unidentified aircraft witnessed by numerous people.
George says the object was seen moving across the valley and appeared to be in distress.
Park personnel were dispatched to investigate.
But when they reached the area, George claims they encountered something they never expected:
Armed military personnel.
According to his account, the men were dressed in black tactical clothing and appeared to be highly trained military personnel.
George says the park rangers were ordered to leave.
When they argued that this was their park and that they were federal employees, they were allegedly met with armed resistance.
George claims weapons were pointed at the rangers and they were told to get out.
The question becomes obvious:
How did military personnel arrive at the alleged crash site so quickly?
George says the park employees had responded almost immediately after receiving reports of the sighting.
Yet the military was apparently already there.
“Satellite Re-Entry”
George says he and other personnel were subsequently given an explanation for what they had witnessed.
They were told the phenomenon was a satellite re-entering the atmosphere.
According to George, that explanation was presented as the official story and there was no room for questioning it.
He claims employees were warned that contradicting the official explanation could have serious consequences.
George says he was left with the impression that a major operation had taken place behind the scenes.
And when he later returned to the area?
He claims it had been completely cleaned up.
No obvious debris.
No obvious evidence.
Nothing that would explain why armed personnel had previously sealed off the area.
The Strange Figure in the Trees
George also describes an encounter that sounds straight out of a science-fiction movie.
While riding a horse through the wilderness, his horse suddenly became extremely agitated.
George initially suspected an ordinary threat such as a mountain lion or rattlesnake.
Then he heard a strange clicking sound.
Looking into the trees, he claims he saw something resembling a human-like figure concealed in camouflage.
He compared its appearance to the cloaking technology seen in the movie Predator.
The figure appeared to be moving through the tree.
George says the horse reacted strongly to whatever was there.
He immediately left the area.
When he returned and told other rangers what he had seen, he says they essentially told him to stop talking about it.
And according to George, other rangers had reportedly encountered similar phenomena.
George’s Paranormal Background
What makes the testimony particularly unusual is that George says his interest in unexplained phenomena did not begin with his career.
As a child in Colorado, he claims to have witnessed strange figures, unusual lights and what he believes may have been an encounter with something non-human.
He also claims that as a child he encountered what he believes was a Bigfoot-like creature while camping near Mount Elbert.
Rather than immediately accepting supernatural explanations, however, George says his academic studies included psychology and parapsychology.
He describes being taught to approach unusual experiences scientifically—looking first for conventional explanations involving psychology, anthropology, geography, architecture, environmental factors and other possibilities.
That makes his later claims all the more intriguing.
He isn’t presenting himself simply as someone fascinated by monsters.
He is presenting himself as a former government employee who says he personally encountered unexplained events while doing his job.
Why Would Anyone Cover This Up?
There are several possible explanations.
The most mundane possibility is that unusual incidents in remote wilderness areas are being misunderstood, exaggerated or misremembered.
Another possibility is bureaucratic secrecy surrounding sensitive government or military operations.
There is also the possibility that some incidents simply remain unexplained because wilderness environments are extraordinarily difficult places to investigate.
And then there is the explanation George himself suggests:
Something unusual is happening—and authorities don’t want the public to know.
That last possibility remains unproven.
But the allegations are extraordinary enough to warrant asking questions rather than simply dismissing the testimony.
If government agencies really have encountered unusual objects, unexplained deaths or unknown creatures in national parks, the public deserves to know.
And if these stories are incorrect, the obvious question is equally important:
Where is the evidence disproving them?
The Bigger Mystery
National parks cover enormous areas of remote wilderness.
Millions of people visit them every year.
Most visitors experience nothing more mysterious than wildlife, weather, difficult terrain and the occasional wrong turn.
But stories of unexplained disappearances and strange encounters have persisted for decades.
George’s testimony adds a remarkable new element to that discussion:
a former ranger claiming that some employees were instructed to remain silent about what they witnessed.
His story cannot, by itself, establish that extraterrestrial craft, Bigfoot or other unknown entities exist.
But it does raise serious questions about how unusual incidents are documented, investigated and communicated to the public.
And perhaps the most chilling part isn’t the claim about UFOs.
It is the allegation that people who were supposedly responsible for protecting the public were sometimes told:
Don’t talk.

The complete interview with retired National Park Service ranger Christopher George is featured in Episode 166.
It goes considerably deeper than the stories summarized here, including additional accounts that were not covered in this article.
Watch the episode and decide for yourself.
What do you think?
Are these simply extraordinary stories from a lifetime spent working in remote wilderness?
Could some of these incidents have perfectly ordinary explanations?
Or is there something happening inside America’s national parks that the public has never been told about?
The wilderness may be a lot stranger than we think.

That’s funny. There were many mountain men, hunt and lived on their own for hundreds of years in the wilderness. NONE of them ever reported strange things happening. Lot of Indians, bears, mountain lions, to watch for but nothing strange. So there is nothing strange out there, just strange people got jobs in the wilderness.
