Iran launches ballistic missiles at Israel
Iran launched a retaliatory strike against Israel, firing approximately 150 ballistic missiles in two waves.The attack was in response to Israel’s earlier operation, “Operation Rising Lion,” which targeted Iran’s nuclear and military sites, including the Natanz enrichment facility, causing significant damage.Explosions were reported in Tel Aviv and Jerusalem, with Israeli missile defense systems, including the Iron Dome, actively intercepting the incoming missiles.

Israeli Defense Minister Israel Katz condemned the attack, stating that Iran had “crossed red lines” by targeting civilian areas, and vowed a strong response.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei vowed to “inflict heavy blows” on Israel, while Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi described calls for restraint as “unjustified”.
Casualties and damage were reported in central Israel, with at least five people injured, one moderately and four lightly, due to shrapnel.Iranian state media claimed higher casualty figures, reporting 78 killed and over 300 wounded, though these figures have not been independently verified
