Growing Number of Governors Telling the Federal Government That They Can't Go to All Digital Currency Because Coin is in the Constitution

As discussions about digital currency and AI continue, a growing number of Governors are sending letters to Congress that the Federal Government cannot go to all digital currency because of language in the Constitution about coin. According to one of the letters obtained by the Kamel and Knat but that seems to be what all of the Governors that have sent a letter are sending so far, the following Constitutional language is quoted: “Article I Section 8 Clause 5 of the U.S. Constitution says: “The Congress shall have Power To…coin Money, regulate the Value thereof, and of foreign Coin, and fix the Standard of Weights and Measures” and goes on to say in Section 10: “No State shall…coin Money…make anything but gold and silver Coin a Tender in Payment of Debts…”” They also mention in the letter that the U.S. Mint is a federal agency, but the Federal Reserve is not and question its constitutionality.
