The Most Important Message in the World That He Wants Everyone to Know

If you’ve been to San Francisco‘s Chinatown in the past few weeks, you may have already gotten the answer from this student, Steven Marcal, wearing a distinctive black T-shirt as he busily distributes flyers to passersby.

Yes, killed for organs, that’s what Steven learned himself in Chinatown just three weeks ago from a Falun Gong practitioner.

Afterward, Steven watched Killed for Organs: China’s Secret State Transplant Business on YouTube. It’s a documentary about live organ harvesting in Mainland China from prisoners of conscience, mainly Falun Gong adherents.

Finally, he asked around to learn more about practitioners’ protests over the past 15 years since a brutal persecution was launched by the Chinese Communist Party. “Then I had no doubt that it is true,” he told NTD Television.

In case you’re wondering, Amnesty International defines a prisoner of conscience as someone imprisoned and persecuted because of their race, political, or religious beliefs “provided that they have neither used nor advocated violence.”

Shocked by this vicious crime against humanity, Steven couldn’t get to sleep that night.

He decided to go back to Chinatown to help Americans and eventually the rest of the world learn about this.

Speaking with NTD Television, he said: “This is the most important message that I’ve ever seen in my entire life, and to me material things, clothes, money, those are nothing. But when I hear mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, daughters, and sons are being killed for their beliefs, that’s something that I’m going to dedicate my time to.”

“I only have a sake for justice, and a sake for compassion, for these people. I understand their three principles are Truthfulness, Compassion, and Tolerance. That sounds like the kind of person that every person in this world should be. So for that reason, if these people are being persecuted for that, then this world is not right, and I don’t feel like I want to bring children into this world, if that’s the way it is…”

Besides passing out flyers to raise people’s awareness, Steven also helps draw attention to this persecution on his Facebook page. He’s been getting plenty of support from his teachers, classmates, family, and friends, as well as bloggers.

Thank you, Steven, for standing up for basic human rights, and for speaking up on behalf of those without a voice being persecuted in China.

Sometimes we need more courage and determination to do this, especially when it’s the government committing the atrocities, and especially when the victims are slandered to fool the rest of the world. However, none of these “reasons” should prevent us from taking a stand for justice and righteousness.
