Truth is a Distraction??

Katherine Maher, head of NPR recently made that statement in a presentation to a group of people. She talks about the fact that people aren’t really looking for truth but something she says is more attainable: consensus. Sadly, this is what much of the world thinks. She further states:

After seven years [at Wikipedia] I believe [Wikipedians] are onto something that for our tricky disagreements seeking the truth and seeking to convince others of The Truth isn’t necessarily the best place to start. In fact, I think our reverence for truth – The Truth – might have become a bit of a distraction that is preventing us from finding consensus and getting important things done.

So there it is, the new “insight” that seeks to free society from having to grapple with truth. In essence, we should not be concerned about finding the truth, but we should be more concerned about finding consensus; where we can all compromise to meet on certain terms.

The problem of course, is that if there is no discernible truth that can be known and understood, then in reality, no one can actually be held accountable for not knowing or living it. Maher is a person who seems resolute, composed, clear and very sincere in peddling consensus, not truth, which she seems to want to ignore completely.

Katherine Maher, prior to becoming the head of NPR, was associated with the following orgranizations:

• UNICEF
• National Democratic Institute
• World Bank
• Wikipedia
• Atlantic Council
• State Department

She’s obviously been involved in think tanks that have helped to create policy for governments, banking institutions, non-profits and even for Wikipedia, which some believe is simply a psyop run by CIA. That tells us right from the start that Wikipedia is not interested in presenting truth but merely somewhat believable consensus.

People who believe, like Pontius Pilate. that there really is no truth or at least truth that is impossible to discern, grasp and understand, are in charge of too many important positions in society throughout the world. We are all affected by their pseudo intellectualism policies of consensus.

The Bible presents another picture that altogether opposes consensus. The Bible clearly makes statements that are either seen as outright lies or complete truth. There is no middle ground.

In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth (Genesis 1:1). This is a clear statement of absolute truth. The Bible refuses to offer proof of how God existed. The Bible simply tells us this is what occurred as having come from God. The Bible never tries to prove God’s existence. It simply implies God exists, “In the beginning God…”

God existed before anything was made. Then He chose to create. These statements are to be taken at face value, but of course, are often rejected by millions as being simply unbelievable. Those people cannot fathom that an all powerful, creative Being could exist who is perfectly flawless. For those people, this truth is not their truth.

Katherine Maher is one of those people who cannot perceive truth as it is and because of that, prefers to find “consensus.” What would consensus look like to her in this area? She might be willing to acknowledge that another person might believe in such a God as described by the Bible and as long as that person was willing to concede certain things, Maher would be willing to work with that person to achieve “important things.”

The mindset that exists today in many people throughout the world is one that doubts the existence of an all powerful, omniscient, all knowing God who controls everything that occurs in this life, even allowing people to have their precious free will. God still accomplishes and He has always accomplished.

Because of modernity, people all too often conclude that there is no need for a specific God to help us solve our problems. In fact, the only thing we need is to learn to arrive to consensus with others through a willingness to compromise for the sake of consensus. I’ve seen this happen within so-called Christian organizations, which is tragic.

People who are unwilling to compromise their own set of beliefs for the greater good are increasingly seen as in the way. They are often treated as outcasts in society, pushed to the edges of civilization and made to fend for themselves.

What Katherine Maher and others like her truly believe is that only through a coming together in consensus can anything of value be created. Those who are unwilling to compromise to reach consensus (because they hold fast to truth), should be left out of society. This mentality is on the increase because it appears to be intellectually solid. It is offered as the best way to approach the problems facing this earth, we are told.

Christians can and should expect this to increase as the time of the Antichrist approaches. As he arrives on the scene, he will be seen as someone who is the great organizer and who wants only the best for global society and the earth itself. He will take this “consensus” viewpoint and strongly push it to involve as many people as possible, hook, line and sinker in order to solve the world’s problems, especially in the Middle East.

The fascinating thing here is that this consensus will not be seen as fascism or tyranny except by those who don’t go along with it. Because people will love the Antichrist and his values with abandon, they will eagerly embrace his consensus by uniting themselves to him in loyalty. That loyalty will extend to taking the visible mark of the beast so that everyone knows that everyone is sold out to the incentives-based consensus thinking of the Antichrist.

Take a moment to recall the exchange between Pilate and Jesus. In John 18, we read the transcript of what was stated by Pilate and Jesus as Jesus stood before the man who would eventually condemn Him to death for a crime He never committed.

³⁷ “You are a king, then!” said Pilate.

Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.”

³⁸ “What is truth?” retorted Pilate…

After Pilate retorted with “what is truth?” he left to once again speak to Jesus’ Jewish accusers. Jesus had clearly failed the measure of consensus and was not willing to compromise to save himself, as far as Pilate was concerned. Pilate again attempted to convince Jesus’ accusers that he had done nothing worthy of death. Pilate was trying to present the actual truth to the Jewish leaders, who roundly rejected that truth. So what did Pilate do? He arrived to consensus, but ultimately giving the Jewish leaders what they wanted, even though he knew that they wanted Jesus to die because of their jealousy.

The Jewish leaders wanted nothing other than to see Jesus crucified. They wanted him out of the way because he threatened their way of life, their fame, their fortunes, their political standing. Everything they had built using the priesthood and the Law to establish themselves as somebodies, was in danger of being destroyed by this Jesus, who was Himself truth against their lies.

The Jewish leaders – Pharisees – by and large, lived by lies and propaganda, twisting God’s Word to their own ends. Yet, they managed to find consensus with the Sadducees even though they completely disagreed on the resurrection of the dead and whether they was a life after this physical life. That didn’t matter though because both groups saw Jesus as an enemy and someone who needed to be dealt with in a permanent way.

This is really what people like Katherine Maher advocate. Coming together in consensus by ignoring truth and finding means to agreement. By all means, people must learn to agree even if it means ignoring actual truth.

This was supremely evident during the C-V scare. The consensus was to lock-down society, to force people to wear masks, to remain at least six feet from another person. That consensus was monitored and for anyone who violated it, the results were often immediate. Eventually, the consensus eventually included mandatory vaccination. Most people were and many still offer their arms for the latest version of CV, the flu, RSV or something else.

Consensus is really just another name for compliance because that is the result. However, consensus sounds better because it creates the perception that people have arrived to their beliefs of their own volition and intellect. Ultimately though, consensus breeds submission and this is exactly what Technocrat globalists (and their agents like Katherine Maher), want throughout society. They need the entire world onboard with them, not questioning why they should do something but in the name of consensus, simply doing what is said to be the best approach for the sake and benevolence of global society.

I’m reminded of Critical Race Theory and how it managed to work itself into many corporate offices where staff would undergo monthly equity training meetings. Normally, white people (men especially), were informed of their resident (albeit often hidden or unknown), tendencies toward racism. Because of these sessions, many of these white people agreed with that “consensus” that racism controlled them or at the very least, had provided them with their “privileged” status in life. I watched numerous videos where white folks would admit in these meetings that they are products of white privilege and needed to unlearn that behavior to be able to reach out to people of color, or at least get out of their way. It was embarrassing to watch them.

For those people, nothing can really change. They are a cog in the machine and there are likely people of color who are in higher positions over them as well as under. It makes little sense.

The only people who can actually do anything (and who never do), are CEOs of various companies who constantly push for diversity, equity and inclusion. They act like bears going after prey as they insist that everyone will be trained in DEI in order to come to terms with their white privilege. Yet, I’ve never seen even one of those old white CEOs personally step aside and allow a person of color to take their CEO position. They talk a big game but that’s all.

In the end, it would make no difference anyway because arriving to consensus is not the same as arriving to truth. Truth has a much different view of things in life and actually solves real problems. Consensus is simply agreeing on a course of action for a problem which may not actually exist because there may not be any basis in truth at all.

We see this with climate change. The general consensus is that we must reduce our dependence on fossil fuels and use green renewable energy instead. Why? Because the use of fossil fuels is destroying the planet with an increase in CO2, we are told. Many scientists have come out to say this is not true but their voices are ignored. So in this case, the consensus group has the microphone and pushes for their consensus. Consensus does not mean truth at all. It could actually result in massive death and destruction.

Truth is a distraction to people who simply don’t like it. Those people want to forge their own way regardless of what truth states. Consensus is a very slippery slope but when people like Maher present her ideas on it, it takes on new meaning for people who are unclear about truth in the first place.

Consensus is what Satan traffics in because he is a liar. Truth is what God is. It is our job and responsibility to ensure that we advocate and live truth. Even though consensus may sound intellectually compelling, it is too often the foundation of lies.
