You may have had the same experience I’ve had when, after receiving your new debit card, you get a call from the bank asking if you need help adding it to your digital wallet. Each time, I tell them thank you but I don’t use a digital wallet. There’s a slight pause on the other end, then “okay, well thank you. If you need anything let us know.”

We are constantly being pushed toward a heavier reliance on digital everything. I will not comply with that by making their job easier. I still have a choice in the matter of how I use my money and how I pay for things and I will keep that option for as long as possible.

But I wonder how many people don’t even consider any of the real downsides to using digital wallets to pay for things? On one hand, yes, it makes life easier. A quick swipe and voila! you’re done. But it’s that convenience that globalists count on to draw people into their web of control. They’re deceiving us with their convenience and ease. I hate to sound like a conspiracy theorist and I actually reject that label. I’m a conspiracy realist. We’ll get to actual downsides at the end of this article.

Within Scripture, we see a constantly escalating global situation where life becomes more and more digitally controlled as the end times looms in front of us. The ultimate end of this is found in Revelation 13. It is there that we see global society has, with finality, come under the complete control of the coming man of sin (2 Thessalonians 2), or the Antichrist through the use of digitization.

Revelation 13 focuses on two individuals; the beast out of the sea and the beast out of the earth (Antichrist and False Prophet respectively). It will be at that point in the future (the second half of the coming Tribulation of seven years; Revelation 13:5), that the entire world will fall under the complete control of Antichrist, made possible by the second beast who tantalizes and captures the world with supernatural signs and wonders (Revelation 13:14-15).

So it is very clear from the Bible that at some future point, the entirety of global society will be fully controlled. How? Using numerous forms of digital management. This global digitization will take place and fully blanket the earth and everyone living on it. The only people who might escape are those who live as complete hermits, far away from any civilization.

When the world reaches this future point of no return via total management, it seems obvious that this will usher in a complete and total loss of individual sovereignty. Human beings will no longer have any say in what they are able to buy, what they use to buy things, where they live, what they are allowed to do and where they can go.

Let me interject here here, as I’ve written before, I fully believe the Rapture will usher in a time when the world will reach together to become one in purpose. With millions of authentic believers gone from the earth, those left – atheists, agnostics and the rest – will be so shocked by the absence of millions of people at one moment that they will then come together to save themselves and the planet. At that point, it will be fairly easy for the global population to glue themselves together in one purpose because those who were considered the malcontents of this earth, pushing a “religion” that much of the world hates will then be gone. Nothing will stand in their way toward global unification. In fact, they will clamor after it.

Let me also clearly state I have no idea when the Rapture will occur, except that it will occur prior to the coming Tribulation. I’m not interested in trying to pin down a time, a season or, for that matter, a specific day. Those who do are clearly violating Christ’s warnings about that particular day. We are to live as if every day is our last and we know where we are going after our death/Rapture, and that’s probably where it should rest.

With respect to digital IDs, digital payments and everything else digital, the “digital wallet” is now the big thing, but not the end in and of itself. It is merely the means that will help get the world to Revelation 13 when there will come a time when no one will be able to buy or sell without a particular mark, known as the mark of the beast.

15 He was granted power to give breath to the image of the beast, that the image of the beast should both speak and cause as many as would not worship the image of the beast to be killed. 16 He causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, free and slave, to receive a mark on their right hand or on their foreheads, 17 and that no one may buy or sell except one who has the mark or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.

In the above passage, we learn unequivocally that this second beast (the beast out of the earth, or false prophet), is given or granted the power necessary to give breath to the image of the beast that had been created and displayed in honor of the actual Antichrist. Please understand this is not talking about artificial intelligence or AI here. This goes well beyond that (though AI is a segue to that). This beast is literally granted the ability to make it appear that the image that was created becomes alive. This is supernatural in origin with the image actually speaking and breathing. This image also forces people to worship it and those who refuse are executed.

This harkens back to Daniel 2 with Nebuchadnezzar’s dream and the resultant explanation/interpretation given to Daniel by God. Though the interpretation was explained to Nebuchadnezzar, the king decided to create an image made of gold (Daniel 3) and made a law that when music was played, everyone was to stop what they were doing and worship the image. This led to Daniel’s three friends being thrown in the fiery furnace for refusing to bow.

In essence, what Nebuchadnezzar established in his day was a bit of a forerunner for what the Antichrist will do in his future day. Those who refuse to worship the image that is made alive and speaks will be executed. But those who do bow to the image made alive must also take the Antichrist’s mark on either their right hand or foreheads. Without it, no one will be able to buy or sell. In essence, no one will be able to participate in society without the mark.

The mark is representative of the Antichrist’s name. People have spent decades trying to figure out what the mark is all about, what it looks like, etc.? That’s really not the point as it will become clear in the future when it is issued. What’s actually important here is what the mark means when it is applied to a person’s right hand or forehead.

This mark is very much like a tattoo forced on someone by the “owner.” Animals today are marked or branded. We have cows across our dirt road where they eat and live on over 1300 acres of pastured land. Each and every cow has a tattoo (and numbered ear tag), signifying the owner. We can always tell when a new calf was just recently been born overnight because they have no marks or ear tags. Usually, by the next time we see that same calf they have a blue tag with a number affixed to an ear. Eventually, they will receive their mark or brand signifying as well.

This is the big picture here with the mark of the beast. It’s not what it looks like. It’s what it stands for and means when applied. Each person who takes the mark willingly becomes the actual property of the Antichrist; ultimately the property of Satan himself because he is the one who fully empowers the Antichrist to do what he does and is the physical representation of Satan on earth then. This is exactly why those who take the mark are no longer able to receive salvation because they have literally given their souls away for that mark and become the property of Satan, who literally owns them. They then stand fully opposed to God and His purposes, becoming the object of His wrath.

9 Then a third angel followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives his mark on his forehead or on his hand, 10 he himself shall also drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is poured out full strength into the cup of His indignation. He shall be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. 11 And the smoke of their torment ascends forever and ever; and they have no rest day or night, who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” (Revelation 14:9-11)

So, those folks who take the mark of the beast onto their person, have made a resolute decision to eternally reject God. They are literally saying “I belong to the beast, the Antichrist and Satan. I am his and he is mine.” This becomes a permanent and unbreakable bond even if they were to realize their mistake. Those people, according to the text, will join others in the Lake of Fire and they will be tortured with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. Verse 11 tells us that this torment/torture endures forever and ever.

By the way, please do not fail to see that the coming mark of the beast is not digital. It is physical, taken onto the skin. Antichrist will not rely on a person simply adding the mark to their wallet (though a representation of it will likely be added there as well). This physical mark to the skin will be visible and permanently part of the person wearing it. People will use it for bragging rights, which is why it probably won’t be embedded under the skin out of sight, but very obviously worn on the forehead or hand. If it’s not visible, it would need to be scanned to be “seen.”

Please also notice that what is happening now in preparation for the coming seven year Tribulation period is largely on a voluntary basis today. Use your digital wallet because it’s so convenient and easy! It makes things happen so much more quickly! Why live in the past? Embrace the digital technology of today!

There are numerous articles on the ‘Net that point out these downsides for anyone who cares. I’m going to list some of the main points of one of the articles.[1]

Security
Using digital wallets requires either Wi-Fi, cell towers or the Internet. That in and of itself, is a huge downside because of scammers and malware. These scammers live trying to take what you have and if they can find a way to trick you into giving them access to your digital wallet, they can take whatever you have in it in the blink of an eye. This can occur with anything digital.

Have you ever received fake emails or texts stating that an account you have has been compromised so you need to “login” and change your password? They’re trying to get you to login to your account, but it’s not to your actual account. They have set up a spoof page that looks like your account and if you use that to login, you are actually giving them your login credentials. As soon as they have them, they go into your actual account and clean it out.

When I receive those, I always ignore their login page and go directly to the page that I know is real. Then I login to check things out, completely bypassing their fake login site. What I have always found is that everything in my account is perfectly fine. I then go back and delete/block the text or email. They don’t give up though.

Reliance on Technology
Digital wallets rely heavily on technology and the digital infrastructure, which is why so many data centers are needed today. However, my wife and I still enjoy paying for things in cash, which is still king. Yes, we use debit cards, but we always have cash on hand as well. The more you rely on technology, the less freedom you have. Globalist are using technology and infrastructure to draw the net around people, reducing freedom as you go.

Spending Habits
One thing I’ve noticed about places like Amazon is that it is very easy to just browse and buy. It’s so easy to add to cart and check out, isn’t it? It is because you don’t see money changing hands. It’s digital. Yes, eventually you see that charge in your bank or credit card account, but it’s not like it was taken directly out of your pants pocket and you know a certain amount of cash is gone. Nothing immediately noticeable has changed for you except that you now have less in your bank account if you look there. This is one of the major drawbacks of Amazon and online purchasing, by making spending money so easy. It has been proven that using cashless ways to pay for things usually means people spend more without thinking of it.

Privacy Concerns
With everything moving to digital wallets, privacy becomes an issue. Cash is not normally traceable at all. You buy something with cash and your bank or credit card company has no clue what you just bought. Every time you use your debit or credit card, each transaction is noted forever. So, people you don’t even know and have never met know when you buy a gun, bullets, groceries and everything else. Is that okay with you?

In the future, countless more data centers will be needed because of the growing reliance on everything digital. When it comes time to force the mark of the beast on people, the system will be fully in place to support it because it’s being built now.

You can still say no to that. You still have the freedom to use or not use a digital wallet. For me and my house? We say a polite no thank you. One day, the only options will be to embrace it or die. This is what is happening now as Satan builds the beast system that will rule the world in the final global power that is first spoken of in Daniel 2.

You still have control over your life and it is up to you if you want to keep that control or give it away for the sake of “convenience.” That convenience will come back to severely bite you one day. I will do all I can to avoid it at all costs.
