He just reverse screen. It’s green. Luckily it’s not screwing up with the green screen but I wanted to point out in that reverse image saying screwing me up pointing at the left part over the heart. There is a badge if you can’t make it out a yellow CBP badge with a black line through it. That is an image a memorial symbol. It’s not the red circle with the red line to indicate like some would say, you know, being anti law enforcement or anything like that. So I just wanted to assure and make clear someone didn’t misinterpret what I’m wearing. On the back is a picture of Brian Terry, a CBP officer, RIP KIA who was from Michigan, served in Arizona, KIA by an Obama holder illegal unconstitutional fashion furious gun running operation. Brian Terry was murdered by a Mexican cartel terrorist using one of those weapons. So this is a tribute in Memorial Church. I just wanted to make clear there was no misunderstanding on that because you know how things can get on the internet, right? HADASSAH TREU:   Thanks so much. Thanks so much for the invitation. It’s really a pleasure to be on your show. Yeah, I’m looking forward to having a great conversation and it will encourage and inspire our listeners.

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   So you’re very welcome and not to make fun of it, but to point out the obvious people can hear the accent. You’re probably not an American. So give us the whole right, the low bow down on who you are, where you were born, where you are now. Yeah, although yada yada yada for one one. Let’s

HADASSAH TREU:   start there. Yes, let’s start here. Yes, I’m not an American. I’m a Bulgarian. I’m a

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   you’re not right. I’m sorry. I can never pass the lame pod. You’re not boring. You’re Bulgarian.

HADASSAH TREU:   Just to go. Yeah. Yeah. Sorry. I’m born in Bulgaria. And I’m now also living in Bulgaria, although I lived for 15 years in Austria in Europe. So I never left Europe actually. Yeah. And it’s interesting because I was born in Bulgaria when Bulgaria was a communist country, still communist regime. And this was an interesting time. I was in the eighth grade, I think, so 1989 when the iron curtain fell, and then also the communist regime in Bulgaria changed. And yeah, we came into this period of so called democracy. I call it so cold because I don’t think that we are reaching a point where really we have something we can call a democracy, a well developed democracy in Bulgaria. I think we are still in a transition period so politically. And if you take may work up some generations until we come to another system and another mindset and another thinking how we see and how we do things on all levels in our society. Yeah, but but but you certainly

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   now with the fall of the iron curtain and the wall coming down and at least some movement, you have far more freedom. Oh, yes. Then you have maybe not all that you should. You don’t have our US Constitution protecting them, but you are certainly freer than you were. Yes, yes, yes.

HADASSAH TREU:   There is a big difference. Absolutely. And this is for example, when I was a child and a teenager, for example, religion was totally bent. It was absolutely taboo topic. So nobody talked about God, nobody went to church or something like this. So this is for example, one of the freedoms that we then got and actually this also coincided with me coming to the Lord and hearing the gospel for the first time. And so this was really the beginning also of my story because I was 17 years old, approximately when I when I heard the gospel for first time and believed in the Lord as my Lord and as my Savior. And it was also an interesting story because my my grandpa from my father’s side was a very famous communist while my grandma obviously was a secret believer. And when I was a child, yes, I found a small, shabby book at her bedside and later I learned this is the New Testament. And I had this this habit of breathing a little bit after school, but of course I couldn’t understand what I’m reading, although I already had a favorite book and this was definitely the revelation and the last chapter of Revelation is my favorite book. Yes. Given what you said there, first I want to

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   joke again about your accent that hopefully when I run this all through the AI translator to turn into a transcript, it’ll understand what the hell you’re saying. But yeah, about communism, it’s normally an atheistic society, right? But Putin, being former KGB, learned the lessons of history and Pope John Paul to helping to fall communism as it was and the Iron Curtain and the Soviet Union as it was. Putin, unfortunately, in my opinion, has a lot of people fooled that he’s a Christian. He is allowing Christianity to a degree so that atheism isn’t going to then be the downfall of communism this next time. He is using the church, in my opinion, not to be crude here, but frankly, he’s turned the Russian Orthodox Church into Putin Soviet state useful idiots, unfortunately. That’s not to say the average Christian in Russia is on board with that. But unfortunately, that’s what it’s become because again, Putin understands history, a whole lot of other people don’t and they’re falling prey to this, in my opinion, sucker mood move as he tries to rebuild the Soviet Union. Do you agree with that sentiment?

HADASSAH TREU:   I think it’s generally very difficult to judge if a politician, especially in such roles, or is really a genuine Christian or not a genuine Christian. And I think that as you know, all politicians to a part are selling things, playing a game, using all existing systems, also churches and doesn’t matter in its orthodox, but it can be also all other possible churches and faith communities to a particular degree. So I don’t get really a very close look, but I think everything, promote, I know everything to say, sounds very logical and in tune with what we already know from history. So I think really the average Christian is not aware or not thinking this way. I mean, really the genuine people who are believing in God, who are trying to live genuinely their faith. But yeah, it’s nothing new under the sun, that’s the state is using the

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   official terms of the religion. It’s not right. Yeah. So you kind of sort of see that as possible, but you don’t want to take a hard stance. I would dare say, murdering your political opponent by polonium poisoning certainly isn’t biblical, but to be fair, I always try to be honest, realistic and fair on the show. All governments engage in murder or assassination of those seeding enemies of the state. Yes, absolutely. This is the work we are living in. Yeah. So to be fair, again, you know, I try to deal in all reality, like I say, about the show, Christitutions politics is about the whole Bible, the whole whole reality of it, all of it in full context, not just picking and choosing one thing or another. Yes. It is usually done, of course,

HADASSAH TREU:   not only on the state, but from a lot of other organizations and also churches. So,

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   fake Christians. Yes. They want the as a friend of mine, Pastor Chantal on Wham Radio here in Michigan likes to say they want the hippie hacky sack Jesus. They don’t want to talk about the Jesus that overturned the tables. The Jesus that called fake Jews at the time, really, we are messianic Jews. He was born a Jew, fulfilled the Jew of scriptures. We all created this Christianity thing. He didn’t necessarily expect or direct or command us to do that. We are messianic Jews. I forgot where it’s going with that. It’s okay. It’s okay. It started all with my accent and the thousands. But oh no, the Jesus that called some vipers, snakes, false prophets, they want to leave out that Jesus of the Bible part. And it’s all there. Got to all be taken in context. And we have many fake Christians today. To your point, my point also picking and choosing this that or the other thing from the Bible of context, like community is voluntary. It’s about charity being what brothers keep her. It’s about individualism. That is biblical. Communism, which attempts to derive from community. Yes, not biblical. It is. No, it’s absolutely not before. No, no. It is forced coercion, theft, redistribution. That’s not biblical, right?

HADASSAH TREU:   Yes. And most of all, it’s based on atheism. And there is no gutting from theism. I mean, the party is forgot. So the political parties say amen, exactly right. And far too many here

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   in the United States, frankly, are caught up in that communism versus community. The biblical versus the I’m having trouble with my video. So I’m just going to toggle it there. That didn’t help. Anyway, I guess we’ll just have I apologize to those looking behind the scenes. I’m a bit blurry. I don’t know what happened to my camera, but anyway, yes, communism versus community. Their music difference and many in the US on the left are trying to move from biblical community that our nation was founded on to atheistic communism. And there are a lot of useful idiot say Christians going along with it. This notion that Jesus was a socialist. No, it is our personal commandment to be our brothers keeper and take care of widows and orphans through voluntary Cherokee, not forced communistic redistribution, right?

HADASSAH TREU:   BRIVON BY LOVE. I want you to I driven by love because this is the what makes it that what what counts because if the love is not our motivation, then it counts to nothing. So the

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   apostle process. Right. And then also the Bible though, does say Jesus said the poor will always be among you. That’s because even 2000 years ago, there was an understanding of human nature. There will be lazy who refused to do anything for themselves, which is why the Bible also makes to distinction between those unwilling and those unable. I have no obligation to the unwilling, only the unable, correct? Absolutely correct. Yeah. But we’ve not even gotten to the real reason you’re here, which is you are an award winning Christian author, blogger, poet, and speaker, and your newest book, draw near how painful experiences become the birthplace of blessings. I love that title. Explain the emphasis and motivation for the book.

HADASSAH TREU:   Yeah, with great pleasure. Yes, it was like this that is every human being time also no stranger to suffering and losses. And unfortunately, I get in my life several life offering personal prejudice. Starting first in my marriage with long years of battling infertility, anxiety, disorder, and panic attacks. This was all with as a result and the infertility. And then I experienced also my biggest loss in 2020 when unexpectedly I lost my husband. As a result of surgery complications, also the surgery was unexpected and not planned and very complicated. And actually, this whole experience completely shook me to the core and turned my life upside down because I didn’t only lose my husband, I lost my family because we didn’t have children, as I already mentioned. I also lost my country because he was an Austrian and lost my happy place of living. I needed to move from Austria where we lived to my homeland Bulgaria for a lot of reasons, of course. And it proved to be a good decision, but it was also a big loss for me. And simply I entered a very heavy period of transition. And I think one of the most serious and heavy outcomes of this loss, of this loss was that I as every person who experienced heavy losses, I guess, started to have struggles with God and problems with my faith, so for the foundation of my faith. So I started to question really my beliefs and the goodness of God, the love of God, why of course the main question, why this happened to me in such succession and why he’s answering the prayers of other people, for example, for healing and for children and for other things and minds are not answered, although I considered myself a devoted Christian, also in ministry and service. And my heart was pure towards him. I mean, at least I didn’t live in any obvious at least to myself seeing or something like this. Yeah, and a lot of white questions. So I identified a lot with a job at this time, not that my losses can compare to his losses, but identified with him because I also traced that he had this faith call simply shaken. And he was also questioning and struggling with God. And simply, I think that I needed a really grounded, I can say new, but grounded in firm theology of suffering. Let’s call it like this.

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   Jesus never says, I promise you no more suffering. The Bible says there will be suffering. This is the earth. This is not heaven. And the right up goes on to further say about the book focuses on mental health, healing and well being as you’re kind of addressing here. As I’ve had other guests talk about like anxiety. Yeah, our health like I myself have health issues and my disability. So I relate and understand to all that. And yes, that it can make one question, as you said, the why me, right? Others are getting the blessings, but we fail to recognize the as I have my character say in terror strikes, things could always be better, but they could often be worse. We overlook God is blessing us that we are as well off as we are,

HADASSAH TREU:   as opposed to so many who have it so much work. Yes, yes, definitely. But as I said, so I, this was some kind of period of personal darkness, and kind of fight with him. And in 2021, I simply started a lot to think about my losses as I was processing them. But also, I needed a new perspective. I needed to lean myself, biblical perspective, how to view biblical in my suffering, how to find found myself in the truth in the biblical truth. What really the Bible says about suffering, and how can I trust actually go with my suffering? What is his purpose in my suffering? What is he doing? How this all can bring any good? And is this a good for me? Is this good for others? Even if I don’t think the whole picture, and I will never see it anyway. So I started the book concept in this very heavy year for me 2021. And K.D.O. was exactly this simply to go through 13 painful, automatic experiences like betrayal, rejection, loneliness, anxiety, grief, depression, disabusion, and to think about to reflect on them also with personal examples, but also with biblical examples. What is the in this experience? And what can happen when we choose in our pain to draw near to God? What will happen then? What is God then doing in our pain? And I ended then with this list after each chapter at the end where I list specific losses to every painful experience. But also then I have a very big list of specific gains, benefits, blessings, which we can find in each painful experience when we choose to draw near to God. Because this is the key, our connection with him is the key to all the canvas. Amen. Oh, that is perfectly, succinctly

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   stated, and very important reason why people indeed should read, and I’ll say the title again, just in case it’s really said it once so far, draw near how painful experiences become the birthplace of blessings. As you were going through that, it doesn’t directly relate, but it brought to my mind in country music singer song. I might have been Garth Brooks, I think it was, but I could be wrong, has a song called unanswered prayers. Sometimes I thank God for unanswered prayers, because you don’t know as you allude to here what this current situation that we may see as negative is leading to the door that will open later because of it, because we as humans get hung up in our current emotional space and can miss the big picture.

HADASSAH TREU:   Absolutely, yes. It was a pivotal moment for me also in dealing with my grief when I simply made this choice to let God use my pain and suffering for my good and for the good of others. And I think this was pivotal because then suddenly everything was infused with meaning and purpose. And for example, the book is one of these let’s say truths of this pain and suffering. And I hope that even if this book touches, I don’t know, 10 people or simply help one soul, I think this

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   deserves this. Yeah, what you said now reminds me, I believe in association, right? Mind association. That’s why I joked about your name Troy. It could be true, could be true. It smelled again for everybody. T-R-E-U, Troy, T-R-E-U, reminds me now, harkens me back to Star Trek Five, the movie where we’re introduced to Spock’s long lost stepbrother that nobody knew of for 30 years, right? Oh, surprise, he’s got a stepbrother, but that’s that silliness aside. The important message of the film that Spock’s stepbrother uses, Vulcan mind melts, and this isn’t a big spoiler, so I recommend people see Star Trek Five. I love Star Trek. Yeah, well, Spock stepbrother, you use Vulcan mind melt to relieve people of bad memories. And as Kirk rightly says, no, you cannot take those from me. They help make me what I am today. I wouldn’t be me without those negative experiences. Absolutely true. Yes,

HADASSAH TREU:   I totally agree, because in this whole process really got this molding shaking, actually enlarging our hearts to contain more of him and also to a larger extent of capacity, empathy, and understanding. It’s very interesting because when I previously read some promises in the Bible, or when the Bible speaks about enlargement, I always imagine this, oh, you know, in the positive sense that you grow, for example, in your ministry, or you grow, I don’t know, some physical blessing. So yeah, the Lord enlarges you, enlarges things that everything sounds so good, so beautiful. But I realized lately that when the Lord speaks about enlargement, the price is always suffering and testing of our faith. And he mainly means enlargement of our souls. And this can only happen. Unfortunately, through going to some trials, adversity, opposition, and things like this.

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   I’m glad you use the line of the word enlargement there. People who know me know my show, no, I can never pass on the bad puns. So yeah, enlargement of my soul is great. Sadly, it’s mainly been the enlargement of my waistline that I can’t pass the opportunity on a lame pun. I’m glad you laughed. Right, no matter how serious things get, this is part of the point of my show. Yes, we got to keep a sense of humor. Absolutely, absolutely.

HADASSAH TREU:   Humor is such a gift. And I think it’s amazing that the way you are using it, and even in the most serious things to have this possibility to work and to lighten things up is really wonderful.

JOSEPH M LENARD (HOST):   Okay, I’m gonna, I try to keep my show fairly short because I call it the water retention span, whatever I call it, water, right? Everybody wants just give me the headline, but the headline it should be deceiving, deceptive, right? Give me a sound bite, which again, could be out of context, details matter, but we’ve gone into details. I try to go keep around 30 minutes. Otherwise, yes, hey, nobody will watch your lesson, right? And then it serves no purpose. We could go for three hours. But if nobody watches or listen, it’s a waste of our time. If this is your first show, I joked with Hodasa Troy about her name. And I want to explain now why, right? The name association game for one. Joking around Troy, T-R-E-U could be true or true or true or what not. I don’t do that, of course, to be insulting. I do it to invoke name association and make the distinction and point. It is pronounced Troy but spelled T-R-E-U. I didn’t think to pronounce it that way. I had to ask. And for those of you that this may be your first show tuning into constitutional politics, I am Joseph M. Leonard. Well, Leonard, you probably want to put an O in there, correct? And if you see Leonard, Joseph M. Leonard, expelled L-E-N-A-R-D, Leonard without the O. People assume it’s French and want to pronounce it Leonard. But it’s not French. It’s actually Polish, if origin in some way. Leonard or waskovich or whatever it was. Originally, I’ve not dug deep into the family ancestry to see what the full long Polish version of the name that became Leonard is. I also have Italian and German on my mother’s side in the Kiehler and Sylvainy. But at any rate, I am making this point to say I am sensitive to the pronunciation of people’s names. So my joking wasn’t to be insulting. It was to make a point that just because it looks a certain way doesn’t mean it pronounced that way. Take care. God bless. Hello everybody. If you’re watching on the behind the scenes sneak peek video, you can see I have a clock background behind me. With 2024 striking the hour, which I use as part of a New Year’s background at the beginning of the year. But I have an encounter with someone at a ice cream place. And I felt it necessary. Then that I be clear. I make clear. So there’s no misunderstanding about me and the show, what it’s supposed to be about. While I question things, I try to make us think it’s all about bringing us together. This is not a mates note here. So crossing one off, this is not a Catholic show or a Lutheran show or a Methodist show or whatever, whatever, whatever show. Brand sect denomination quote unquote doing the air quoting flavor. It is Christianity in general and the generic sense. Not trying to water it down, but the point is this show is about trying to have us be together. And focus on the things we can and do or at least I hope. I pray we can agree on like the other day. I mentioned I didn’t mention his name Kent at Nana’s kitchen in one of the episodes I mentioned. He said it’s his belief that the Old Testament is just there for historical purposes. And the New Testament, not his exact words, but the implication supplants the Old Testament. And I left something out that I didn’t think of the two today that I feel if I would have come up with at the time, we could have come together and had an agreement on. And that is regarding Exodus, but if the Old Testament is irrelevant, let me put this application to him. And you’ve heard me say I question the Bibles. Okay, let’s not get too hasty. I rate I question the different Bibles, right? Because again, not Catholic Lutheran Methodist, whatever it is. Because there are like a hundred different versions of the Bible. And they are written by man, humans, frail, flawed. I wrote down time machine. I don’t know everything. You don’t know everything. That’s why this is called faith. None of us really truly know. And unless if one of us has a time machine in our basement that we can pile into and go back thousands of years and actually hang with Christ and the apostles, and hear what Jesus is saying direct from his own mouth to our own ears, we take things as delivered to us on faith. So unless if we could go back to time, none of us really truly know we have to take it on faith. And the devil, the devil wants us divided. Again, I want this show to be about the things generically as Christians, we can believe in together. Because the devil wants us divided. Satan wants us arguing with one another about, well, that flavor of the Bible says this. That flavor of the Bible says something slightly different. And another, a slightly different. And us in our hubris, it is the devil putting hubris in our heart and taking our soul. If we focus on and the devil wins those things that could and would divide us. Now back to Kent and that issue of is the Old Testament irrelevant. Well, I dare say if I said to him, and you’ve heard me question the King James version even of the Bible. Unless if we read Aramaic, Latin, Hebrew and Greek to read all those old texts for ourselves to compare to our modern English versions. And even within ourselves potentially misinterpret something. Is the commandment that shall not kill or they’ll shot not murder innocence as I have contended and hope we could come together on like with Kent, I would have said to him. So a thief breaks into your home at night. You defending yourself accidentally kill that person. You have taken a life. You killed somebody. But Exodus 22 to referring to King James here. Your version of Exodus might be slightly different. Again, there are differences in the text. I want us to focus on the things we can agree on and come together. So somewhere in your version of Exodus, I hope I pray indeed it says if a thief in the night is struck a fatal blow, you are not guilty of murder. Therefore that contextually says that the commandment obviously is thou shalt that murder innocence. Because in that case, it is clearly stating a death, a killing is not a murder of innocence. And therefore, there is a difference. I think if I would have thought of that example, Kent and I would have had a pardon the expression come to Jesus moment and agreed that okay obviously putting together the context matters for those. Let’s look at Matthew 7. I hope I pray. I certainly believe that all of our Bibles, regardless of your flavor of Christianity, I pray your version has more than just seven words to Matthew 7. Because there is indeed more to judge not less GB judged. You don’t stop there. You have to read the rest of it. And as context, the other dozen or so scriptural examples where I speak to judge biblically. Remove the log from your own eye. Judge the same at yourself and others biblically. No double standards. The same set of standards. So Matthew 7 really properly contextually. And we’re not going to know until we meet our maker and can ask these questions. Matthew 7, is it not really condemned not lest she be condemned? Because the Bible in full context tells us to judge. So again, the point of the show why I bring this up is focusing on those things we could come together on and agree on. Because it is Satan’s wanting to put hubris in our hearts and to take our souls to make us as this flavor or that flavor. Are you with one another about those differences rather than focusing. We are all in praise of our Lord and Savior. Jesus Christ. All Christians. Because again, we don’t have that time machine. We can’t go there. The only thing we can do is look forward to that day that we meet our maker and can ask these questions and get these clarifications to focus on the things we could come together on. Again, not of this flavor or that flavor of Christianity, but those things that we can agree on. Those things that are in all our Bibles and to remember humans are frail unless we go back thousands of years and hear Christ in his own words. With our own ears, we are depending on faith of those who came before us and put together these what 100 different versions of the Bible. And again, avoiding the hubris of, well, I’m this flavor Christian. My Bible has to be 100 percent perfect and infallible. Your version must be wrong. No. Let us remember humanity. Thrale imperfect prone to mistakes. The understand we cannot know definitively these things. Again, that’s why it’s faith and have that understanding to focus on the things we can come together in under Christ. Do not let Satan put that hubris in us in that fighting mode and his desire to want to keep us divided. That is the point of the show. If someone hasn’t gotten it yet. Things I bring up. Speculations and what ifs. In fact, there’s a future episode that will be titled that. Because again, and I know I’m repeating myself here and I’m going way longer than I wanted to in this. What was intended to be a brief segment. Humans changed versus humans decided what books or gospels were included in this flavor Bible or that flavor Bible. Let us again focus on the things that we have in common. Under our Lord and Savior Christ. Not let the devil steal our joy and our ability to be together. Under Christ. I know there’s going to be things I forgot even though I made some notes while I was out. I hope I touched on things. So again, if I bring up something during the show. A show any episode that may upset you a little. I apologize in advance. It is not my intent. It is not the purpose of the show. I am trying to focus us together on things that we can agree upon. But yes, if it not condemn not less TV condemned because there are other verses about judging. Is it not thou shalt not murder innocents? Because indeed Exodus 22 or somewhere in your Exodus. About the thief in the night struck a fatal blow. Not guilty of murder. You have killed, but you have not biblically intentionally murdered. There are differences. The whole point I say over and over the whole Bible in context to that day. Us trying to be together that we come before our Lord and Savior and we get whatever clarifications from what in our faith we’ve come to believe now versus original intent. I know that is going to upset some people right there alone because some I hear it said. Their version of the Bible is perfect and infallible and absolutely positively 100% the word of God. Well until you talk to God we can’t know that it’s our faith and the humans may have led us astray. Inspired by the devil to want to try to Uzi just astray. So let us indeed keep our faith and focused on our togetherness in Christ. I apologize that I went this long. Again I hope that I haven’t upset anybody as again closing the whole point and purpose of the show is to get us to focus together on the things on which we can’t agree and not let us be divided.

Thx for the feedback on BrainDead1 episode (he will be on my Show soon for an already “Listener Feedback” mini-episode in next several weeks (end of February or early March 2024) when he wanted to react and talk about S1E13 “Censorship” Show) I indeed go for “thoughtful” (always, logic and reason and facts) though I have addressed that sometimes I may indeed get HOT/ANIMATED and sound more like raving lunatic (Leftist) at times (while “spirited” in “tone” and action – still using logic/reason/strategy but just a bit more “passionately” delivered (see related https://www.youtube.com/shorts/bc5yiLorRF0 1m YouTube Short on that))! LOL Thankfully those number of Shows are the exceptions and not the Rule. I am always going for “not the same ole talking-point takes of the usual suspect talking-head parrots” (there is Hannity and a million others for the same-ole bs parrot responses (though, not to say, sometimes a particular talking-point oft heard is not worth repeating too, but parroting cannot be one’s ONE TRICK (and sadly too many are just parrots (or One-Trick-Pony, if you prefer) with never any originality — AT ALL, EVER (at least if delivering the same basic “topics” have some reasonable different approach or other “angle” of delivery than same mono-tone talking-head resting face and voice))).
