Believers Who Just Don’t Believe - Excerpt From Bradlee's New Book “Children of the Apostates”

“And my speech and my preaching was not with enticing words of man’s wisdom, but in demonstration of the Spirit and of power: That your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God.” – 1 Corinthians 2:4-5

One of the issues that I have observed within the ranks of the apostates is their unbelief, especially when it comes to partaking in the gifts of the Spirit. After all, the purpose of the spiritual gifts was that men do not serve dumb idols. And that one’s faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God (1 Corinthians 4:20)

No wonder why these self-professed believers who do not believe are so easily taken by the next unbelieving fast-talking hireling who are welcomed into their unholy alliance (John 10:12). And there are plenty of them to call out by name in America today.

In 1 Corinthians 12:1-11, it declare:

“Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. Ye know that ye were Gentiles, carried away unto these dumb idols, even as ye were led.

Wherefore I give you to understand, that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed: and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. And there are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. And there are diversities of operations, but it is the same God which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;
To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;
To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:
But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.”

Also, in 1 Corinthians 14:24-25, you will find:

“But if all prophesy, and there come in one that believeth not, or one unlearned, he is convinced of all, he is judged of all:  And thus are the secrets of his heart made manifest; and so falling down on his face he will worship God, and report that God is in you of a truth.”

In the above Scripture, we find that the manifestation of the Spirit was doing what only the Spirit can do so that men might find their faith in the Lord and not in man.

When we look to Jesus, the author and the finisher of our faith (Hebrews 12:2), we see and hear what Jesus said to the disciples of John.

“Go your way, and tell John what things ye have seen and heard; how that the blind see, the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, to the poor the gospel is preached.
And blessed is he, whosoever shall not be offended in me.” – Luke 7:22-23

These Scriptures are so foreign to today’s apostates that they cannot even recognize the voice of the One in which they claim to have faith.  One must ask the question as to what voice they are listening to if not His (1 John 4:5).

After all, Scripture tells us, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:17).

The problem that these hypocrites are experiencing in the Church today is that they have defiant and reprobate men and women pretending to be what it is that they are not.  Furthermore, they have put unbelievers up as their leaders, and look at what they are leading them toward.

What is it that their unbelief has brought upon themselves? “And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief” (Matthew 13:58).

The apostates have failed to understand this one important facto:  The Holy Ghost is given to them that obey (Acts 3:12, 5:32).
