The Colors of the 4 Horses in End-Times Match the 4 Colors of Middle Eastern Flags. Coincidence or Prophetic?
Posted May 5, 2025 | End Times Watch
For those end-times watchers, it seems that many things that were once hidden, are now certainly coming to light. Today, let’s take a look at the Four Horses mentioned in scripture, and discuss the four colors of many middle eastern flags. Are they similar? If so, is this coincidental, or does it have a significant connection?
The Four Horsemen of the Apocalypse appear at the beginning of the 7-year Tribulation period, according to a literal, chronological reading of the Book of Revelation (KJV). Specifically, they are released when the first four seals of the seven-sealed scroll are opened by the Lamb (Jesus Christ) in Revelation 6:1–8.
Here is how the horsemen fit into the end-times timeline from a pre-millennial, mid-tribulation rapture perspective:
Timeline of the End Times (Simplified with Horsemen Highlighted)
We are currently in the “Church Age” and will continue until the Antichrist confirms a covenant with Israel for a 7-year period, (Daniel 9:27). Many are expecting this to take place this year, 2025.
After this historical “time stamp” has been completed, it begins the 7-year Tribulation Period. This also starts the “Seal Judgments.” The Seal Judgments are the first series of end-times judgments described in the Book of Revelation (chapters 6–8) in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible.
These are judgments that unfold as Jesus Christ, symbolized as the Lamb, opens a scroll sealed with seven seals. Each seal unleashes a new phase of tribulation on the earth. This is not the same as the 7 Bowls of Wrath that God has planned, beginning midway through the 7-year Tribulation period.
The Four Horsemen appear here:
Revelation 6:1–8 – The First Four Seals:
White Horse – False peace / Antichrist (Revelation 6:1-2)
Rider has a bow and a crown; goes forth conquering.
Symbolizes the rise of the Antichrist offering a deceptive peace.
Red Horse – War and Bloodshed (Revelation 6:3-4)
Peace is taken from the earth; widespread violence and war.
If the God – Magog war hasn’t happened to bring the necessity of the false
peace of the antichrist, it’s possible that this war would happen at this time.
Black Horse – Famine (Revelation 6:5-6)
Scarcity of food; economic collapse.
Pale Horse (Sickly Green) – Death and Hell (Revelation 6:7-8)
One-fourth of the earth dies by sword, hunger, and beasts.
I know that this sound very depressing to consider, however, remember, we walk with Christ. These events will happen to the world for certain, but as the Church of Christ, there are other plans for us.
The Pan-Arab Colors in Middle Eastern Flags
Now, let’s consider the colors of 8 Middle Eastern Flags that have the SAME colors as mention in the Four Horsemen, Red, White, Black, and Green:
- Syria
- Jordan
- Libya
- Sudan
- Kuwait
- United Arab Emirates
- Iraq
- Palestine
So, what do these colors actually mean to the people who fly these flags? To answer this, the colors stem from various Islamic dynasties and movements:

Could These Colors Point to a Future Middle Eastern Confederacy?
Some prophecy teachers believe the alignment of these colors with Islamic and Arab nationalism might foreshadow a future Middle Eastern coalition during the Tribulation, possibly under:
- The Antichrist or a false Islamic messiah (e.g., the “Mahdi” figure in Islamic eschatology)
- A revived Islamic Caliphate, playing a major role in the final world conflict
- A war against Israel, as seen in Ezekiel 38–39 and Revelation 16 (Armageddon)
This theory isn’t directly stated in Scripture, but several prophetic elements support it:
Relevant Scriptures:
- Daniel 11:40–45 – The “King of the South” and “King of the North” make war, possibly referencing Middle Eastern powers.
- Revelation 13 – A beast (world empire) rises, possibly tied to revived Roman or Islamic empires.
- Ezekiel 38–39 – Gog and Magog invade Israel with a coalition that includes Persia (Iran) and other Middle Eastern nations.
- Psalm 83 – An alliance of Arab nations plots to destroy Israel (some believe this prophecy is still future).
Spiritual Warning and Call to Discernment
Whether or not the color connection is literal prophecy or providential foreshadowing, it should:
- Alert believers to the real spiritual battle behind world politics.
- Encourage watchfulness, as Jesus commands (Matthew 24:42).
- Remind us that nations will gather against Christ before His return (Psalm 2:1–3, Revelation 19:19).
With this in mind, let us not forget this:
“And I saw heaven opened, and behold a white horse; and he that sat upon him was called Faithful and True…”
(Revelation 19:11)
This verse marks the triumphant return of Jesus Christ at the end of the Great Tribulation. It’s one of the most dramatic and powerful moments in the book of Revelation. He is trustworthy and fulfills every promise of God: the embodiment of truth — no deception or falsehood is in Him. He comes now as the conquering King, to destroy the Antichrist, defeat the armies of the earth gathered against Him, and establish His Millennial Kingdom on earth (Revelation 20).
I believe that by studying the colors of the Four Horsemen in relation to the similar colors of the flags in the Middle East, it gives us further insight into key players in the end times. And as usual, as things play out, there will be no need to speculate if our ideas are true or not, for we will see thigs with our own eyes.
