What Many People Don’t Know About the “End Times”—Are You One Who’s in the Dark?

There are many commonly overlooked or misunderstood truths about the End Times in the King James Version (KJV) of the Bible. Here are some of the most important things many people don’t know or understand clearly:

1. The Tribulation Is Not God’s Wrath—At First
Many assume that the entire 7-year Tribulation is God’s wrath poured out. But Revelation shows that the first half (3.5 years) involves deception, false peace, and the rise of the Antichrist (Revelation 6). God’s final wrath (the vials or bowls in Revelation 16) doesn’t come until after much of the world has already been deceived.

“For the great day of his wrath is come; and who shall be able to stand?” – Revelation 6:17
(Note that it says “is come” after the seals begin unfolding.)

2. The Antichrist Will Appear Religious
The Antichrist doesn’t show up with horns and fire. He comes as a man of peace—possibly even claiming to be the messiah. He will speak great words and perform signs and wonders to deceive even the elect, if possible.

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed…” – 2 Thessalonians 2:3
“…and with all deceivableness of unrighteousness in them that perish…” – 2 Thessalonians 2:10

3. Many Churches Will Be Deceived
Revelation warns of a false church system—called Babylon the Great, the Mother of Harlots. This isn’t just a pagan institution. It looks religious, wears purple and scarlet, and is drunk with the blood of the saints.

“Come out of her, my people…” – Revelation 18:4
(This implies that God’s people are inside that false system.)

4. Jesus Warned of Mass Deception
In Matthew 24, the very first warning Jesus gave about the end was not war or famine—but deception.

“Take heed that no man deceive you.” – Matthew 24:4
“For many shall come in my name… and shall deceive many.” – Matthew 24:5
This deception includes false prophets, false christs, and counterfeit signs.

5. The Mark of the Beast Is Connected to Worship
The mark isn’t just a technological implant or barcode. It is deeply connected to worship—allegiance to the Beast and his image. Many will take it thinking they are doing the right thing—under false spiritual or religious influence.

“And he causeth all… to receive a mark… and that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark…” – Revelation 13:16-17
“If any man worship the beast and his image… he shall drink of the wine of the wrath of God…” – Revelation 14:9-10

6. The Rapture Will Not Save People from Persecution
While some believe in a pre-tribulation rapture, the KJV gives strong evidence of a mid-trib or post-trib gathering, just before the wrath is poured out—not before the Antichrist appears.

“Immediately after the tribulation of those days… he shall send his angels… and they shall gather together his elect…” – Matthew 24:29-31
“We must through much tribulation enter into the kingdom of God.” – Acts 14:22

7. Only Those Who Endure Will Be Saved
Endurance in faith—not just a one-time profession—is repeatedly emphasized.

“But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.” – Matthew 24:13
“Here is the patience of the saints: here are they that keep the commandments of God, and the faith of Jesus.” – Revelation 14:12

8. Many Will Believe They Are Saved—but Are Not
Jesus gives a sobering warning in Matthew 7:

“Not every one that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven… Many will say… ‘Have we not prophesied in thy name?…’ And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you…” – Matthew 7:21-23
Can you imagine this happening to you? Sadly, many people who think they are “religious” will fall into this category. The question to ask yourself is: Do I follow my church, or do I follow Jesus Christ? Many churchgoers don’t know Christ personally—they are more focused on the teachings and policies of their church than on a relationship with Him.

9. God Will Send Strong Delusion
At a certain point, when people reject the truth, God Himself sends a strong delusion—so they will believe a lie.

“…God shall send them strong delusion, that they should believe a lie.” – 2 Thessalonians 2:11
(This comes after they refuse to love the truth.)

10. There Will Be Martyrs—and They Will Be Victorious
Many faithful believers will be killed for refusing the mark, yet they will be honored in heaven.

“…they loved not their lives unto the death.” – Revelation 12:11
“…and I saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of Jesus… and they lived and reigned with Christ…” – Revelation 20:4

There is nothing more alarming than churches that do not study or teach the doctrine of the End Times. We are standing on the edge of a moment when many “religious” people will likely be deceived, yet the church isn’t warning them or helping them prepare for the 7-year Tribulation. Why is that? Does the church truly have your best spiritual interest in mind?

Many churches today are failing their members by avoiding these topics. Rather than preparing their congregations for the deception, trials, and judgment to come, they focus on comfort, prosperity, and popularity. This silence is spiritually dangerous.

By ignoring the Tribulation, the Antichrist, the mark of the beast, and Christ’s return, they are leaving their people spiritually blind and unprepared. Instead of equipping believers to stand firm in truth, they’re keeping them in ignorance—putting souls at risk in this critical hour of history.

Why are churches doing this? Because many have lost their first love—Jesus Christ—and replaced Him with the pursuit of comfort, influence, and acceptance. The true remnant must come out from among them (Revelation 18:4) and hold fast to God’s Word alone, no matter the cost.

Now is the time for you to take control of your spiritual understanding. Don’t leave it up to your church. Clearly, they are ignoring the importance of teaching you these things.

Studying the End Times prophecies in the KJV is essential for every believer who wants to be spiritually prepared and not deceived. The KJV preserves the powerful and precise language of God’s warnings—about the Antichrist, the Tribulation, the mark of the beast, and Christ’s return. In a world filled with compromise, confusion, and false teaching—even within churches—God’s Word remains the unchanging truth.

When you begin to study for yourself, you will likely ask, “Why isn’t my church teaching this?”

When the final 7-year period begins, those who waited for their church to explain it will be left in confusion—and easily deceived. Do you really believe that a church that claims to follow Jesus would allow this to happen to its members?

Your spiritual survival is your responsibility, not your church’s. Your relationship should be first with Jesus Christ, and only supported (not controlled) by your church. If the order is reversed, you may be among those who hear, “I never knew you.” I pray that you let the Savior take the wheel, with you in the passenger seat—and your church in the back seat.

It saddens me to see so many who are hypnotized by their church, living as if nothing is coming but the return of Jesus. It’s not that simple.

To those who are awake: I commend you. You are in tune with the Savior. God has a plan for us to stand strong against the darkness that is coming. There is great peace in knowing this plan.

I invite everyone reading this to pray for discernment. Wake up. Prepare. And cling to Jesus—not a church in learning about the end times. The time is now. It begins with you studying about the end times as foretold in the New Testament.
