Rapture Next Month? Everyone is Buzzing About this Topic - Here are the Rapture FACTS that We Know (KJV)

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Posted Aug 24, 2025 | End Times Watch | River Wilde

I’m certain that you have all heard on social media all of the hype surrounding the Rapture, and how many are indicating that it will happen during the Jewish Holiday of the Feast of the Trumpets, Sept 22-24, 2025.

I have spent a great deal of time studying the Rapture and would like to share my findings with you. I’m a FIRM believer of FACTS, and not speculation. The bible is filled with facts, however there are some topics discussed which God has intended for us NOT to fully understand. I believe one of these questions that we are not supposed to know the answer for sure is, “When will the Rapture Occur?”

The scriptures do not answer that question specifically, however, there is some information detailed in the KJV of the bible that gives us some insight as to when it will most likely occur.

Let’s begin by understanding an associated event of the rapture. It is called the “Wedding Feast.” Let’s learn more about what this is.

The Wedding Feast Tradition

In Jewish tradition, when the father declared the time, the groom would come—often at night, announced by a shout and trumpet. He would take the bride to the prepared home.

Then came the wedding feast, a days-long celebration with food, joy, music, and fellowship.

Revelation 19:7–9 directly connects this to the marriage supper of the Lamb. And so shall it be when Christ returns to earth for “His Bride” (The Rapture).

“Let us be glad and rejoice, and give honour to him: for the marriage of the Lamb is come, and his wife hath made herself ready… Blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb.”

The Wedding Feast in Scripture

Matthew 22:1–14 – Jesus told the parable of the king’s marriage feast, representing God inviting people to His Son’s wedding. Many reject, but those who accept must come clothed properly (symbolizing righteousness through Christ).

Luke 12:36–37 – Christ’s servants are told to watch for their Lord’s return “when he will return from the wedding.”

Revelation 19:9 – The big event: the marriage supper of the Lamb, where the redeemed are united with Christ in heavenly joy.

Just as in Jewish tradition, the wedding feast comes after the groom has received his bride. This points to the rapture/resurrection of believers (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17).

The feast represents the eternal joy and union with Christ, after the waiting and watching period of the church is complete.

The wedding garment (Matthew 22:11–12) symbolizes the righteousness of Christ, without which no one can enter the feast.

The wedding feast in the KJV, when seen through Jewish tradition, portrays the beautiful story of salvation: Christ betroths His church, prepares a place, returns with a shout, gathers His bride, and then celebrates in a glorious wedding supper — the eternal fellowship of the redeemed with the Bridegroom, Jesus Christ.

The importance of understanding the Wedding Feast is knowing that this will be a celebration, which is DIFFERENT from when Jesus Christ comes back for His Second Coming, prepared to destroy satan and his followers at the Battle of Armageddon.

Think of the symbolism: In Jewish tradition, the groom takes his bride, and then comes the marriage feast. Only after the feast does he present his bride to the world. If the rapture and wedding feast were at the very end of the Tribulation, there would be no feast at all — only immediate warfare and judgment. But Scripture clearly places the feast sometime before the battle (Revelation 19).

The Rapture Is a Gathering, Not a Battle

Paul describes the rapture clearly:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout, with the voice of the archangel, and with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first: Then we which are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds, to meet the Lord in the air.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16–17, KJV)

Notice that the rapture is a meeting in the air. The purpose is to gather the saints to Christ, not to immediately descend in judgment. If the rapture were at the end of the Tribulation, the saints would rise to meet the Lord in the air and then instantly return to earth with Him. That would leave no time for the wedding feast of the Lamb described in Revelation 19.

The Bride Must Be Made Ready

Revelation also shows that the Bride (the Church) is clothed and prepared before the return of Christ:

“And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white: for the fine linen is the righteousness of saints.” (Revelation 19:8, KJV)

This preparation takes place in heaven, during the feast, not on earth during the chaos of the Great Tribulation. If the rapture were at the end, there would be no time for this heavenly preparation and rejoicing before Christ rides forth.

This clearly shows that the rapture and the second coming of Jesus Christ are two separate events, happening at different times.

Knowing this helps us understand that the Rapture will not happen “Post Tribulation, ” or at the end of the 7-year Tribulation period. So, now that we can eliminate that time period as the rapture will not take place “Post Tribulation.” So then, when is the Rapture likely to occur?

God’s Wrath – Not Intended for His Bride

Paul also wrote:

For God hath not appointed us to wrath, but to obtain salvation by our Lord Jesus Christ.” (1 Thessalonians 5:9, KJV)

The last half of the Tribulation is called the Great Tribulation (Matthew 24:21), a time of God’s wrath poured out on earth (Revelation 16). The Bride is not destined for wrath but for salvation. Therefore, the rapture must happen before God’s wrath is unleashed in its fullness.

God begins pouring out His wrath upon the earth at the 3.5 year mark into the Tribulation. We can then with great certainty state that the rapture will happen no later than this 3.5 year period.

Why the Rapture and Wedding Feast Point to the Mid-Tribulation Timeline (KJV)

While some place these events before the Tribulation, the King James Bible gives us strong reasons to see them as happening in the middle of the Tribulation — just before God’s wrath is poured out in full during the Great Tribulation. Let’s look at things from that perspective:

The “Last Trump” and the Rapture

Paul tells us plainly:

“In a moment, in the twinkling of an eye, at the last trump: for the trumpet shall sound, and the dead shall be raised incorruptible, and we shall be changed.” (1 Corinthians 15:52, KJV)

He also wrote:

“For the Lord himself shall descend from heaven with a shout… with the trump of God: and the dead in Christ shall rise first.” (1 Thessalonians 4:16, KJV)

This “last trump” is the signal of the rapture — the resurrection and transformation of the saints. Revelation shows a key trumpet blast at the midpoint of the Tribulation (Revelation 11:15), when heaven declares:

This moment marks a transition — before the final outpouring of wrath.

Let’s break down the 7-year Tribulation Period to Better Understand the timing of the Rapture.

The Bible makes it clear that the Tribulation is divided into two distinct halves of 3½ years each (Daniel 9:27; Revelation 11:2–3; Revelation 12:6). The first half is marked by a false peace established through a covenant with the Antichrist. Jesus Himself described this period in Matthew 24:6–8 as “the beginning of sorrows”—wars, famines, pestilences, and earthquakes.

While these are severe, they are not the unprecedented judgments of God’s wrath described later. In fact, believers are repeatedly warned about the “great tribulation” that comes after the midpoint, beginning with the abomination of desolation (Matthew 24:15–21). This suggests the rapture does not need to occur before the first half, because the most intense outpouring of God’s wrath has not yet begun.

Second, Paul writes in 1 Corinthians 15:52 that the rapture will take place “at the last trump.” Revelation 11:15 speaks of the seventh trumpet sounding, announcing that “the kingdoms of this world are become the kingdoms of our Lord, and of his Christ.” This occurs in the middle of the Tribulation, not before it begins. The rapture tied to the “last trumpet” points toward a mid-tribulation event, not a pre-trib one.

Finally, 2 Thessalonians 2:3–4 teaches that the “man of sin” must be revealed before the gathering of the saints to Christ: “that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed.” The Antichrist’s full revelation comes at the midpoint of the Tribulation, when he sets himself up in the temple and declares himself to be God. Therefore, Scripture itself places the rapture after the rise and revelation of the Antichrist, not before the Tribulation begins.

In summary, the first 3½ years are indeed a time of deception and preparation, but not yet the time of wrath from which believers need to be rescued. The rapture fits more naturally with the midpoint, when the Antichrist is revealed, the seventh trumpet sounds, and God’s judgments intensify on the earth.

As much as I would love to see the Rapture occurring next month, I do not feel that the scriptures support this timing as the most probable choice. I also feel strongly that God does not want us to know the day and time of the rapture. He has advised us to be prepared in the following scriptures:

Watch and Be Ready

  • “Watch therefore: for ye know not what hour your Lord doth come.” (Matthew 24:42)
Jesus warned His followers to stay alert. The exact time of His coming is hidden, so readiness is a daily call.

Live in Faithfulness

  • “Therefore be ye also ready: for in such an hour as ye think not the Son of man cometh.” (Matthew 24:44)
Readiness is not passive waiting—it is active faithfulness, living in obedience to Him every day.

Keep Your Lamps Burning

  • “They that were ready went in with him to the marriage: and the door was shut.” (Matthew 25:10)
The parable of the ten virgins shows that only those who prepared beforehand entered in. Preparation cannot be borrowed at the last minute.

Sobriety and Watchfulness

  • “Therefore let us not sleep, as do others; but let us watch and be sober.” (1 Thessalonians 5:6)
Paul reminds believers that spiritual alertness means resisting the dullness of the world and keeping our eyes on Christ.

Holy Living

  • “Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God… Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.” (2 Peter 3:12, 14)
Preparation involves holy conduct and walking in peace, knowing we will stand before Him.

I also advise all of you not to get stuck on date setting. As we have seen, these dates come and go. When this happens, we start to doubt that the rapture will even happen at all, causing us to stop preparing to meet Him, and maybe even losing a bit of faith in the process.

We can however, prepare for the next event which is the arrival of the Antichrist. What this means to all of us is that we have to be ready for the great deception that will soon be here. Are you strong enough in your faith so that you will not be deceived? Remember, he will be seen as a great leader, and even perhaps spiritual to some people. He will solve many of the earth’s problems, and be a very likeable person.

What are you doing to prepare for this? Knowing that it’s coming is the first step. Knowing that his main focus is deception is another. Taking any uncertain spiritual question to God in prayer for clarification is the best advice ever.

I hope that you are as excited as I am to know that we are witnessing the end times. What a time to be on the earth! We get to be a part of all these things that have been prophesied, and we also know that Christ will come to rescue us when things get crazy. There is so much peace in knowing this.

I appreciate you supporting our blog, as well as other sites that we are posting to. I try to do all of the research, so that you don’t have to. I also put a great deal of prayer into these articles to get the green light from the “Editor” before releasing them to you. =) I still invite you to pray about the things that you are learning, so that you can receive your own conformation of the truth.

Sept 22-24 2025 will come and go. Don’t get discouraged when the rapture doesn’t happen, for it WILL in God’s timing. There are still many people who need to be introduced to Jesus Christ. Let’s go find them.
