The Alien “Mother Ship” Approaching Earth? Let’s Talk About How This Fits into End Times Prophecy of the New Testament

Every once in a while, the chatter gets so loud that it becomes a big part of the news or social media. Regardless of the topic, I am always interested in investigating end times news to see what the scriptures have to say about things.

Lately, there has been a great deal of “Buzz” regarding an Alien “Mother Ship” that has been observed making its way to earth. Here are the “facts:”

What’s the Story?

3I/ATLAS: An Interstellar Object, Not Confirmed Alien Mo­thership

Astronomers discovered an object named 3I/ATLAS on July 1, 2025. It’s the third known interstellar visitor ever detected.

It’s moving extremely fast—over 130,000 miles per hour—and is very large, with estimated sizes ranging between 12 to 24 kilometers across.

Harvard astrophysicist, Avi Loeb, and his team have speculated that it might not be a comet or an asteroid—but could instead be technological in origin, potentially even an alien mothership releasing probes, sparking intense but highly speculative discussion.

If this were true, Loeb estimates the object might approach Earth’s vicinity between November 21 and December 5, 2025. Another analysis notes the closest point to the Sun is expected around October 30, 2025, though this is per NASA, not confirmation of a collision.

So, one thing that most of us have learned recently is that when it comes to the government and dramatic news, we should always proceed with caution. Taking news items such as this as factual, is highly suspect and should not be accepted under the category of TRUTH.

We too must always center on what the narrative of the news is meant to create with us, the reader. We have also learned that our source of truth is the New Testament of the Bible.

What do the scriptures say about “aliens” in the last days? Anything? I’m certain even before beginning my search that the word alien will not be listed in the bible, but what about something similar? Did the prophets foretell of anything that might be seen today as alien in nature? Let’s take a look.

The New Testament, especially Revelation, speaks a lot about the end times—but it does not mention “aliens” directly. Here’s how people who study prophecy often look at this question:

What Revelation Actually Mentions

Revelation focuses on spiritual beings (God, angels, Satan, demons), human rulers (Antichrist, False Prophet), and nations that rise and fall.

It describes deception, signs in the heavens, and supernatural manifestations (Revelation 13, Matthew 24, 2 Thessalonians 2).

The warnings are about people being deceived into worshiping the beast and receiving the mark, not about contact with extraterrestrials.

Where “Aliens” Might Be Interpreted

Some Bible students suggest that what modern people call aliens could fit under the biblical category of spiritual deception:

Fallen angels / demonic manifestations:
In Genesis 6, “sons of God” interacted with humanity in strange ways before the flood. Jesus said, “as it was in the days of Noah, so shall also the coming of the Son of man be” (Matthew 24:37). Some connect this to end-times deception involving non-human entities.

Angels vs. Aliens:
In the Bible, encounters with heavenly beings were often awe-inspiring and otherworldly (Ezekiel 1, Revelation 4). What people today might label “alien” could simply be misunderstood angelic or demonic activity. This seems to fit into realistic possibilities.

Great signs and lying wonders:
2 Thessalonians 2:9–10 says the Antichrist will come “with all power and signs and lying wonders.” Some believe UFO phenomena or “alien contact” could be part of this deception, explaining away the rapture or leading people to trust in a false savior. I personally give this thought great creditability, and would suggest that we consider this in greater detail.

Aliens – The Rapture

In our studies of the end times, we have learned that satan wants to do all that he can to discredit God. Anything that God does that is miraculous, is a target for satan. He will always try to change things through deception, so that God does not get any credit or recognition for what He does.

I feel strongly that this will be the case when the rapture takes place. God is planning on rescuing His children through the rapture, to lift His “church” up into the air to meet the Savior in the clouds. Remember, at this time, or soon after the Antichrist has made his way onto the world stage, this rapture will occur. I’m certain satan has already developed his plan to deceive people when this rapture takes place.

The antichrist’s main purpose in coming to earth is to deceive many into following him rather than God. He must keep the spiritual nature of the rapture hidden from as many people on the earth as possible. Logically, a deception such as an alien invasion answers the questions that people will have in hopes to explain why so many people disappeared from the earth.

Let’s back up for just a moment, and see all of the things that we have been told in the scriptures, that satan will do in his preparation of his arrival as the antichrist. This is his plan that we know of from the New Testament.

Falling Away from God.

2 Thessalonians 2:3 (KJV):

“Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition;”

Satan and his angles have been working very hard to entice as many people as possible to fall away from God before he arrives. This environment makes it beneficial for him to show up with new promises and be a new leader that people are searching for.

Miracles that Will Deceive the World

Revelation 13:13–14

“And he doeth great wonders, so that he maketh fire come down from heaven on the earth in the sight of men,
And deceiveth them that dwell on the earth by the means of those miracles which he had power to do in the sight of the beast…”

The Antichrist (with the False Prophet) will perform spectacular miracles, even imitating God’s power, to convince the world he is divine. People must be ready for this level of deception. If not, they will truly be amazed and fall for his “powers”.

Pretending to be Christ

Matthew 24:24

“For there shall arise false Christs, and false prophets, and shall shew great signs and wonders; insomuch that, if it were possible, they shall deceive the very elect.”

Jesus warned that the deception will be so strong, it will almost mislead even true believers.

The Lie of Peace and Safety

1 Thessalonians 5:3

“For when they shall say, Peace and safety; then sudden destruction cometh upon them…”

The Antichrist will likely promise peace and security, but it will be a trap leading to destruction.

Can you see the deceptive plan that satan has set up? With this understanding, it is easy to see how satan could use the “mother ship” and the aliens that are headed to earth to snatch people away. It fits into the narrative, doesn’t it?

As a final note, I feel that it is important to remind all of you that we should plan for deception. Do not fall for the false narratives that will surface in the end times. Don’t trust social media and the news. The solution? Trust God through your own personal prayer, and trust the New Testament. This is our plan for truth in the deceptive times that are before us.

I feel such great comfort with this plan. I know all of the times that God has directed me and my family in my lifetime. I’m certain that it will be the same through these next few days, months or years. I will follow Him, for I know His voice and promptings.

In my studies, I have concluded that the timing of the rapture will occur at the 3.5-year mark, or mid tribulation. However, with all of the attention that is being placed on the alien mothership, who knows…it might even occur prior to that time.

I have also thought deeply about this scripture:

Matthew 24:36 (KJV)
“But of that day and hour knoweth no man, no, not the angels of heaven, but my Father only.”

I have felt that the scripture speaks to the hour and the day, but not the year of the Saviors return. I have felt very confident that through the information that we have been given in the New Testament, that the year of His return is easy to predict… 7 years after the tribulation period starts.

But there is more to it than just that thinking logic. Consider this:

• 1 Thessalonians 5:2

“For yourselves know perfectly that the day of the Lord so cometh as a thief in the night.”

After much thought and prayer, I feel strongly that God does not want even His believers to know specific things. Why? Because He wants us to be ready and watching for Him. Not knowing a distinct time makes us spend each day in preparation, and a strong desire that we develop in waiting for His return.

But what about others? There is also a great amount of attention that is given from many Christian followers that the rapture will occur next month, during the “Feast of Trumpets.”

Feast of Trumpets (Rosh Hashanah) — 2025 Dates

• Begins at sunset on Monday, September 22, 2025
• Lasts through nightfall on Wednesday, September 24, 2025

I caution all of you to avoid date setting. If God does not want us to know the day nor the hour, let’s take His directive, and not plan for any specific date. There is also disappointment that comes from excepting to be raptured on a date, and that date comes and goes and nothing happens. Let’s not do this.

When it happens…it happens. Let’s live each day knowing that God has a plan for us which is different than His plan to defeat evil. Find peace in His plan. Praise Him for caring for us, and knowing that He is fully aware of what is happening right now.

So, the aliens? Yes, we will give this story some though, but only as it fits into the scriptures and know that it would only be deception. Satan has a deception plan, and we will bust him with his planned circus show, because our God has told us what to watch for.

I believe we can also say that gone are the days that we can trust our own very eyes. AI has made things realistic, when they are not real at all. I suggest that you factor current advances that are being made and give them the necessary caution that they deserve.

Let us continue to have our eyes open. We are spiritually connected to the Savior, and must only trust Him. Even if you have a spiritual leader that you “Trust,” please take the things that they are teaching to God in prayer for conformation. Man might lead you astray; God will never do so.
