Do Daniel and Jesus Christ Agree with End-Times Prophecies? Take a Look

The end-times prophecies as we know are contained in the Bible. We take all of these writings as “Truth,” yet, I wanted to find out what Jesus actually said Himself regarding the end times.

Many scriptures are written from God’s prophets, and are considered to be the “Word of God” as well. However, I wanted to take some time today to see what Jesus actually said Himself regarding this period of time.

With the research capabilities that we now have, it has made this assignment relatively easy to complete.

Daniel was the author of many end times prophecies, and are contained in the book of Daniel. Let’s place what Daniel taught along side of what the teachings of Jesus Christ were relating to Daniels teachings. Daniel 9–12 lays the timeline framework (7 years, midpoint, abomination, tribulation, deliverance). This is very important to me, as it is the very anchor of the last 7 years upon earth. It is also the only “Time Stamp” starting point that is actually mentioned in end-times prophecy. As Jesus speaks of these things, it should give us reassurance that these teachings are indeed true.

Jesus in Matthew 24, Mark 13, Luke 21 confirms Daniel and adds detail about deception, cosmic signs, and His visible return.

Jesus ties the final covenant betrayal and abomination of desolation directly to His second coming. Another key point is the Abomination of Desolation. Again, when Jesus makes this reference, He is solidifying the truthfulness of what is to come.

I certainly have a testimony of the prophets that taught prior to Jesus Christ’s time upon the earth. I also testify of their truthfulness. However, I am very aware of the process of translating the Bible, and know that there is a high probability or error, or political influence at the time of its translation.

Because of this, when studying such important events like the 7-year peace agreement and the Abomination of Desolation, it is important for me to do as much validation that I can before declaring the truth.

I hope that my writings have created a desire for you to want to dig deeper into the end times, and the truths which are written in the Bible. As always, I invite you to take the things that you are learning to God in personal prayer and ask Him for conformation. This is indeed where you will find the truth.

I am grateful for the Holy Ghost which is given to all of those who have accepted Jesus Christ into their life. To me, it serves as a great “teacher of truth”, as well as a “prompter of thought” as I try to prepare these writings to assist those who are searching for truth.
