Remember the Protestors Being Killed in Iran: 33,000 Lives Lost and Counting

(Picture and Statement from Daily Mail: Families and residents gather at the Kahrizak Coroner’s Office confronting rows of body bags as they search for relatives killed during the regime’s violent crackdown on protests)

The world cannot turn a blind eye to the ongoing tragedy in Iran. As protests sweep across the nation, demanding water, electricity, and better economic conditions, an unconscionable toll has been exacted. Over 33,000 protestors have lost their lives in the fight for basic human rights—a staggering figure that demands our urgent attention and action.

It is painfully tragic that just a few days ago, so many innocent lives were taken. Women in Iran continue to suffer from a brutal lack of freedom. Many have been killed by the Morality Police for not wearing the hijab, while countless others have been hanged from cranes, their voices silenced forever. The regime’s actions reveal a disturbing pattern of violence and suppression aimed at anyone daring to challenge authoritarian rule.

Adding to this brutality, a German-Iranian ophthalmic surgeon has exposed that the regime is executing protesters openly. These atrocities are not isolated incidents but part of a systematic effort to crush dissent and maintain oppressive control. Meanwhile, Iran’s economy is in free fall—prices are soaring, the national currency has collapsed, and businesses are shuttered as protests intensify. The pain of economic despair fuels the unrest, yet the regime responds with violence rather than reform.

At the recent World Economic Forum in Davos, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky condemned the Western leaders’ silence and inaction regarding Iran’s protests. His words echo a universal call for justice—where are the global voices standing against this human rights catastrophe?

It is baffling and deeply troubling that so many human rights groups remain silent while civilians are mercilessly murdered. Reports reveal that many people are being taken from hospitals at night and executed in secret. Iran’s hospitals, once places of healing, have become death traps where hope is extinguished under the weight of tyranny.

Now, more than ever, the world must speak out against these brutalities. Every voice matters in the fight for justice. We must remember the oppressed and dying in Iran—people whose lives are sacred and whose suffering demands global solidarity.

We urge you to support those fighting for freedom and dignity. Join us in making a difference by supporting our farming projects, which aim to produce healthy food and create jobs for the suffering and hopeless. Your donations will help build a better future for poverty-stricken Zimbabweans.
