Alternative to Heritage Foundation Pushing Sunday Law For Family Values, Violates Religious Liberty

Without arguing biblical reasons for Sabbath vs Sunday, what if family values could be served a better way than last Christmas on Thursday when Friday became a federal holiday to favor family visits over a long weekend and 50% of employees usually get Christmas Eve off. (Google-AI, but that federal holiday on Friday was just for 2025).

Without violating religious liberty, what if family values could be served by a long weekend every month? That’s the way it was in Bible times when David told Jonathan, Tomorrow is the New Moon and I will be missed at Saul’s feast if I am not there. (1Samuel 20). The New Moon Day met social needs in a culture of six work days each week.

In addition to social needs on the New Moon Day, they had a free day on the 30^th to do whatever they might need, like a day’s vacation to visit a friend as David did with Jonathan, or do some special project for the wife, etc.

The biblical calendar was revealed when God told Moses, This New Moon (thin crescent, chodesh, seen in the west about 20 minutes after sunset) is the beginning of the month.” (Exodus 12). It was Day 1 on the calendar. Then they worked six days and had a Sabbath of rest on the 8^th day, repeating a weekly cycle with Sabbath on the 15^th, 22^nd and 29^th days. The 30^th day was then a free day to do whatever they wanted before the New Moon seen that evening.

The papal Gregorian Calendar has no relationship between a new moon and a new month, with days and months named after Greek or Roman gods, and Rome boasts they abolished the Jewish Sabbath and their festivals–feast days that were mo’ed—“appointed times” by God to celebrate major Bible events like Christ’s death for us at Passover. It was called a “high day” in John 19 when the first day of Passover always coincided with the 7^th day weekly Sabbath.

Rome’s emperor, Constantine, made the first Sunday law and the bishop of Rome went along with it, celebrating the resurrection on Sunday, ignoring baptism as a memorial of Christ’s death, burial and resurrection, seen in Romans 6.

Daniel’s 7^th chapter warned of these changes in God’s appointed times about 900 years before Rome did them. The US is bowing to Rome’s influence since papal Dies Domini (Sunday) and Laudato SI’. But why did Pope Francis come to our Congress to tell us how to run US ? Why do his millions want to come here for a better life? His people have 1.4 million square miles of rain forest contrasting with similar amount of US western land that’s dry.

Why is government caving to Catholic influence when they have all of South and Inter-America they colonized as opposed to this once Protestant nation that became great after Rome signed a concordat with Hitler to make the world  Catholic after he won the war, so Italy and Spain joined with Hitler, not figuring on US to win the war for Europe.

Love to God and our neighbor as we lve ourselves will make this nations stronger than continuing compromise with Rome in a not-so Supreme Court favoring a new definition of marriage and women’s rights over right to life in the womb. 65-75% of US identify as Christians. “In God We Trust”?
