Summoned from the four corners of the dormant earth
At the sound of the trumpet of our King’s great judgement
An account of all my days from the moment of my birth
Words I have spoken, things done what the heart truly meant
The tombs of all those sleeping creak at this fearsome sound
Countless souls awake, seeking the great light of resurrection
Hoping goodness within the lines and cracks of life are found
Direct my heart to be silent focused on adoration’s attention
A book is opened where what was once hidden is now revealed
No hiding place each word visible in print, a record of life itself
Beset with weariness and fatigue may my eternal life be sealed
Poverty of spirit, in humility giving to others, be my true wealth
Two words spoken caress the trembling soul, love and mercy
A kindly light wraps the soul in a covering of prayerful integrity
Floating upon the air of praise plunged into Christ’s healing sea
Returned to innocence dressed in the garment of simplicity
Ready to receive the robe woven in the agony of the crucified
Praying to avoid a terrible wrath where only dusty ashes remain
Grateful for the blood and water flowing from the Saviours side
Standing before the Almighty cleansed of blemish and all stain.
