He served prison time for fraud and forgery (Proverbs 19:9).

Cyrus was also known for taking out loans that he failed to repay (Psalm 37:21).

He also resigned as district attorney due to allegations of blackmail.

Mysteriously, Cyrus was then pardoned for all of this when he magically became a “biblical leader”. This is after making connections with the corrupt who supported his projects.

In a short period of time, Cyrus’ life took a sharp turn from disgraced lawyer and convicted forger to a superstar preacher. Sounds much like modern-day politicians, does it not? Same process. For it is what we see in the present with the said popular preachers of the day (1 Kings 13:33).

So, one must ask, how did Cyrus Scofield become a leader who then led so many faithful ‘Christians’ toward supporting the government of modern-day Israel (Palestine)?
