Lost In Translation Duty, Honor, Country

“When good people do nothing evil will flourish.” 1933 saw the rise of Nazi Germany. Hitler’s rise and the evil atrocities of World War II was a direct result of the citizens of Germany doing nothing to stop the genocide of the Nazi’s regime. Today the Trump regime is now enacting the same play book of Nazi Germany. Now the question is do we the American public allow history to repeat, or do we have the combined resolve to stop a tyrannical want-a-be dictator destroy our democratic republic?

For far too long there has been a steady erosion of our nation’s soul. Our core values we like to think have always been with us, but over time have been pushed aside by disingenuous policies that have led this nation astray. We always have to remember that in preserving this nation requires a well-educated and participating public in the democratic process. The educational system has been failing our youth for over fifty years. There has been a generational decline of education standards that have made this nation susceptible to what is now taking place in Washington and beyond. 

Our values as a nation have been lost in translation. Duty, honor, country are no longer revered in their application, When today we have so many members of congress fail to serve the best interests of their constituency duty, honor, country hasn’t been applicable in the legislation they are now trying to pass. Every public official’s obligation is to honor their commitment to uphold the rule of law and the Constitution. And in this way uphold our founding guiding principles of Liberty, Justice, Morality and Education.

We now have a want-a-be dictator as President and too many members of congress that can’t grasp the meaning and application of duty, honor country. Together they have put this nation on the brink of falling into the abyss of totalitarian rule. The people of this nation and many that still remember the atrocities of World War II are now seeing a repeat of Nazi Germany of the 1930′s being played out on the streets of the US.

Every service member, members of congress and our courts have on obligation to uphold the rule of law and our Constitution. Something our President and too many members of congress can’t understand. It is time to enforce accountability to uphold the oath they took. If we fail to hold accountability and let the Trump regime continue to run democracy into the ground history will repeat where nations rise only to fall.
