Meanwhile, China has asked its own solar panel manufacturers to slow production — a sign that industrial silver stocks are tightening at the source. On the monetary side, the broader financial picture is equally significant. Margin debt in US equity markets has climbed from roughly $200 billion at the time of the 2008 financial crisis to $1.2 trillion today — and that figure excludes major hedge fund leverage, which flows directly through bank credit lines. UK 10-year gilt yields are now at their highest level since 2008, reflecting a government fiscal position under serious pressure. The structural case for holding physical gold and silver has rarely been clearer. Paper assets tied to expanding credit cycles carry risks that are increasingly difficult to ignore. Physical metals — gold in particular, silver as a complementary position — represent a proven mechanism for preserving purchasing power across economic cycles.
