Taking a Wrecking Ball to the U.S. Department of Education

Let’s Take Back Our Schools.

Hopefully, the new election results will bring great change to our schools! President Trump did attempt to dismantle the Education Department in his first term, but it didn’t come to fruition. Now, we believe it CAN finally happen.

We, the people, have been greatly dismayed, alarmed, and outraged at how the bullish federal government, with all its regulations and policy guidelines, has tried to force their wicked agenda and influence our families’ lives over the years. Our schools have been disgusting, and school performance is terrible!

The American public has had enough of the depraved transgender policies like boys competing in girls’ sports and letting boys or transgenders in the girls’ bathroom. The unhinged gender identity politics was especially doled out for the public to have to cope with under the failed liberal Biden administration, with most of these shameful policies challenged in court.  

Thankfully, we are seeing conservative Oklahoma step-up and set a very good example of how to dismantle the federal government’s evil influence over the public educational system. Our American students and parents deserve better!

Our country deserves better.

This example below would be beneficial for the rest of the states to follow, too:

The memo supports eliminating the federal education department in favor of moving to block grants.

Walters outlines five areas where he sees this as beneficial for Oklahoma schools: Parental rights, ending social indoctrination in classrooms, protecting patriotism in curriculum, stopping illegal immigration’s impact on schools and blocking foreign influence.

The memo also says the state department will be directing its resources to ensure those priorities are championed so schools can smoothly transition after the coming changes.

Below is the well-stated memo that was sent out November 7, 2024 to all superintendents in Oklahoma:

Secure Arkansas agrees with the five issues listed in this document above… but will Jacob Oliva, our new Secretary of Arkansas’ Department of Education? He was also appointed commissioner of ADE’s Division of Elementary and Secondary Education.

Are we going to let the Education Department continue to dictate what states, localities, and schools must do to keep the federal funds flowing?

In this country, education should be a state and local responsibility.

And we certainly want to keep hostile foreign influence out of our schools, don’t we?

Last year, according to Newsweek, the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) was using soft power to sway U.S. institutions, and that included some private schools as well as public schools—posing a national security threat.

States, sit up and take notice! Americans are tired of being bogged down with tons of federal bureaucracy and seeing our tax dollars squandered and wasted or going into ridiculous liberal programs. We are tired of seeing an infringement on our states’ rights under the 10th amendment of the U.S. Constitution, which says that powers that aren’t specifically enumerated to the federal government are the responsibility of states.

So, abolishing the Education Department (an agency of the federal government) is a good first step to ending the federal bureaucracy AND the infringement on states’ rights!

States and communities, take back your schools!
