Taylor highlights how standardized testing and the reduction of playtime (“recess”) have “shoved” information into students’ brains, leading to a “close-minded” way of thinking across generations. He cites data showing that 70 percent of eighth-grade students are not proficient in reading or math to argue that the current system is “abysmally failing” despite “dark money” flowing into it. The episode frames the traditional school structure as a “psychological operation” intended to disconnect children from their “God-given potential,” nature, and movement.
