Fauci, Fauci, Trump-Trudeau, Ostriches and Natasha from Montreal on Gaza: Links 1 for February 10, 2025

Before I get to the 11th hour short list of items that peaked our interest today, another short scene from 1984 that is probably much more profound than it should be.

Does it remind you of the general public who argues against your facts and reality with narrative BS from state media?

desire to track down, denounce, and vaporize anyone who should suggest that
last week the ration had been thirty grammes. Syme, too–in some more
complex way, involving doublethink, Syme swallowed it. Was he, then, ALONE
in the possession of a memory?”

1. The following item contains a discussion between Matt Taibi and Tucker Carlson about the meaning of the presidential pardons and how it could be used against Fauci, since he can no longer take the fifth. Something that by now, most of us have probably talked about around the breakfast table:

“Now, once the pardon’s delivered, the person can’t plead the Fifth. If they are brought before a grand jury, they can’t take the Fifth anymore, or if they’re brought before a congressional committee, they can’t evoke their right against self-incrimination, so they have to say something,” the journalist explained.

“And this is what’s so interesting because I’ve been talking to criminal defense attorneys, people who are former Senate investigators, some current Senate investigators, and they all kind of said the same thing,” he said. “It’s so illogical to give somebody a pardon if you’re trying to cover up things that the only reason you would really do it is if there are very serious crimes involved, right?

“So that’s a red flag for us. When we see somebody getting a pardon, we think, well, why would they do that unless there’s something really bad there, right?” Taibbi said. “So either it’s a mistake where they just stupidly made It easier for everybody to investigate, or there’s something we don’t know about [and] that is interesting.”

The way I see it, if Fauci lies when under oath they can get him for perjury. For which I do not think he can be pardoned, if, well if it’s after the pardon. I mean, can you except a person for crimes they will commit? I don’t even think Catholic priests can do that after confession. I’m pretty sure forgiveness is limited to things you already did.

Should Fauci elect not to lie, which would be smart because jail for perjury would probably mean death, the world would be his prison. No one would want to be near him when they found out the extent of his involvement in the world destroying events of Covid and the vaxx. He won’t be able to trust food that was delivered. He won’t be able to appear in Public. He would be in danger everywhere he went. And that would be some measure of justice.

3. Our estimate on the Trudeau Trump deal that got tariffs suspended for a month, was that Trudeau likely thinks he pulled one over on Trump. Trudeau probably thinks he is actually smarter than Trump, and likely has no intention of doing anything to annoy China stop the problems at the border. We figured that sometime within a month, Trump would know that Trudeau pulled yet another fast one on him and reimpose tariffs and more.

We were wrong.

It took about 4 days. Not a month. Those of you who bet short on the Canadian dollar can likely afford eggs now.

4. Authorities in the name of something or other, are trying to slaughter an entire herd of Ostrich in Western Canada. The claim is to protect people from Bird flu. When the fact is there is no meaningful evidence of a jump to humans, and killing entire flocks of birds seems utterly stupid when should the flock get infected, some might die and some will recover, and the ones that recover will have immunity and likely pass it on to their offspring. The entire exercise is so unbelievably stupid, it makes me wonder about the whole mad cow thing. Can you get Yakov Kreitzfeld (sp) from eating meat from a cow with prions in the brain? Was it contagious to other cows when it was supposed to be from the feed? What is the justification for slaughtering massive herds of cattle? Suddenly, it feels like we need to question every big and seemingly irrational move by the state.
