The main theme? A growing sense that the market is still wildly underestimating how AI’s thirst for energy, infrastructure, and compute power is creating investable microcap stories in places few are looking. 

These trends are resurrecting dead in the water, yet real companies that had been struggling to grow. 

As usual, we also discussed the best microcap earnings reports (first quarter 2025), big movers & new highs within our coverage universe, along with the performance of our high-conviction Model Portfolios. 

It was nice to see that the portfolios are still holding up well, handily beating the market during volatile times.

During my introductory comments, I stressed how I felt that Tecogen Inc. (NYSE:TGEN) CEO,  Abinand Rangesh, is a rare find in the microcap world and that the stock is positioned to potentially be a better performer than Tss, Inc. (NASDAQ:TSSI), which, by the way, closed the week at $19.84. That’s an all-time high and up 9,820% since we first added the stock to our Run to $1.00 Model Portfolio in 2017.

All In On Information Arbitrage

If you recall, I had posted a tweet where I said Geoinvesting is going all in information arbitrage this year.

Ironically, InfoArb is what helped us identify Tecogen Inc. (NYSE:TGEN) data center catalyst in 2023 and the next data center stock we’re starting to get excited about. I talked about my findings that came from my impromptu site visit to this company’s headquarters.

Along these information arbitrage lines, at the last second, we decided to add a section in the Open Forum presentation to discuss how we use SEC filings to find information arbitrage on certain companies that we know provide “hidden” information in their filings. In this case, I highlighted the information provided by two companies that can help us forecast their near-term earnings (in this case, very bullish). That’s a nice thing about doing this for so long — I just know which companies tend to hide more information in filings, compared to their press releases.

I also dove into our freshly minted Data Center Screen, launched in May, and spotlighted a new stock added to our Artificial Intelligence Screen.
