The IPO Buzz: Standard Nuclear Prices Downsized IPO at $15 to Raise $150 Million – As Expected

No surprises: Standard Nuclear (STDN) priced its sharply downsized deal at $15.00 – and sold 10 million shares – the terms in the prospectus – to raise $150 mlllion on Wednesday night, July 15, 2026. Earlier in the day, Standard Nuclear had slashed the IPO’s size in an S-1/A filing. The original terms were 18.25 million shares at $18.00 to $21.00 to raise $355.88 million.

At pricing, Standard Nuclear (STDN) had a market cap of $2.4 billion.

Standard Nuclear (STDN) is expected to start trading on Thursday, July 16, 2026, on the New York Stock Exchange.

BofA Securities and Goldman Sachs led the joint book-running team.

Barclays, UBS Investment Bank, Evercore ISI, RBC Capital Markets,  William Blair and Stifel also served as joint book-runners.

Standard Nuclear bought the assets of bankrupt Ultra Safe Nuclear in late 2024.

In the prospectus, Standard Nuclear said it runs the only privately funded TRISO production plant in the U.S.

The Oak Ridge, Tennessee-based company’s customers supply it with enriched uranium feedstock, which Standard Nuclear converts into nuclear fuel for its customers to use in their reactors.

TRISO stands for “tristructural-isotropic” and refers to poppyseed-sized fuel particles made from enriched uranium – coated in ceramic layers – used to fuel many Advanced Reactors, according to the prospectus.

The company is producing and shipping fuel for Advanced Reactor demonstrations set for 2026. More TRISO production facilities are expected to come online in the second half of 2026, the prospectus said.

Standard Nuclear is not profitable: Net loss of $14.97 million on revenue of $3.36 million for the 12 months that ended on March 31, 2026, according to the prospectus.
