The IPO Buzz: Lyntris (LYNX) – Defense Tech Firm – Launches $492 Million IPO
Lyntris Inc. (LYNX), a U.S. Department of Defense contractor, launched its $492 million IPO early today to price next week. Lyntris Inc.’s IPO consists of 24 million shares at a price range of $19.00 to $22.00 to raise $492 million – if priced at the $20.50 mid-point of its range, according to its S-1/A filing dated Aug. 10, 2026.
Of the 24 million shares in the IPO, Lyntris is offering 4.88 million shares and the selling shareholders are offering 19.12 million shares. The company will not receive any proceeds from the sale of the selling shareholders’ stock.
Lyntris would have a market cap of $2.4 billion at pricing – based on pricing at the $20.50 mid-point.
Evercore ISI, Citigroup, Guggenheim and BofA Securities are the joint lead book-runners, with Baird, Raymond James and William Blair as book-runners.
Lyntris, based in Falls Church, Virginia, was formed in 2026 when two businesses, Accelint and Vitesse, were combined, the prospectus said. Trive Capital created both Accelint and Vitesse as the result of several mergers.
In the prospectus, Lyntris gave this description of its business:
“We provide solutions for defense tech connectivity for military customers, included the U.S Department of Defense and U.S. allies. We offer solutions in three areas: sensor architecture; sensor hardware, and data software platforms. Our solutions are used in missile defense; maritime domain awareness, and space ISR and communications missions.”
Lyntris is not profitable. The company reported a net loss for the 12 months that ended June 30, 2026.
