Prices Up 500%, Inventories Near Empty: The Critical Metal Facing a Global Supply Crunch

Adamera Minerals Corp. (ADZ:TSX.V) is exploring gold, copper, silver and tungsten projects in the United States and Canada. The company has also reported on its Talisman Copper-Silver-Tungsten Property near Laurier, Washington, which includes the historic Talisman tungsten mine.

According to the company, the Talisman Mine was a key tungsten producer during World War II, supplying strategic metal for U.S. military applications. Scheelite mineralization occurs in garnet-epidote skarn along the contact between limestone and intrusive rocks, with selected samples from the workings reported to contain between 0.35% and 1.0% WO₃, with some local samples reported to assay higher.

Adamera stated that its exploration work on the property has primarily focused on the presence of high-grade copper and silver mineralization, while historically mined tungsten-bearing skarn zones received limited attention. Smelter records from the Talisman Mine reported copper and silver grades averaging 5% copper and 103 g/t silver, with specific zones also containing lead up to 20% and zinc up to 11%.

Surface sampling, mapping, and geophysical interpretation conducted by the company have outlined a 1.5-kilometer mineralized corridor containing copper, silver, lead, zinc and tungsten occurrences. Rock samples collected on the property returned copper values ranging from 0.54% to 4.6%, silver values between 1.0 g/t and 1000 g/t, zinc values from 0.50% to 6.90%, and lead values from 0.44% to 12.80%.

In November, Adamera reported a new occurrence of tungsten mineralization on the property, with rock samples collected up to 720 meters south of the historic Talisman Tungsten Mine returning values ranging from 100 ppm to 2,600 ppm tungsten. Background tungsten levels in the area were described as typically below 5 ppm.

Mark Kolebaba, President and CEO of Adamera Minerals Corp., stated in the company’s November news release, “Previously, Adamera’s exploration efforts at Talisman focused on high-grade copper and silver. The renewed emphasis on tungsten, a US federally designated critical mineral, adds a valuable dimension to the project. The discovery of potential continuity of the known tungsten deposit well to the southwest is significant as it substantially increases the potential scale of mineralization.”

Newell also outlined the company’s operational focus, stating that “the company’s strategy is straightforward: focus on high grade, underground style systems with small footprints, leverage existing infrastructure, and drill targets that can move the valuation quickly if successful.” Regarding project positioning, he wrote that “the Republic Gold District is one of the highest grade gold camps in North America,” and stated that Adamera’s Flag Hill project “hosts an epithermal style vein system.” He further noted infrastructure advantages, writing that “a permitted 2,000 tonne per day mill owned by Kinross sits within the district on care and maintenance, alongside existing haul roads and power transmission lines.”
