Junior Miner Uncovers High-Grade Silver in Argentina

Ron Struthers of Struthers Resource Stock Report shares his thoughts on Argenta Silver Corp. (AGAG:TSX.V; AGAGF:OTCQX; T1K:FSE) in light of its recent drilling news.

In April, Wall Street had one of its best months since 2020. The Nasdaq Composite surged over 15%, the S&P 500 up 10%, and the Dow Jones climbed 7%. The advance has been powered by a resurgent AI infrastructure and triple-digit gains from one of our own picks, Intel Corp. (INTC:NASDAQ).

I have never been a true believer in “Sell in May and go away,” but this will probably be a year when it could work well. The market has been complacent about the economic fallout of the Iran war and still seems to have a false belief that it will end soon. You saw my update from yesterday, and the new supreme leader issued a rare statement. He said the U.S. had no place in the Gulf region’s future and that Iran planned to keep control of the Strait of Hormuz.

I believe high cash levels with gold and silver-related investments will be the way to go for now.

The World Gold Council released its Q1 2026 gold trends, and I will update the PlayStocks gold charts. Total Q1 gold demand, including OTC, was 2% higher y/y at 1,231t.

Bar and coin demand of 474t (+42%) was the second-highest quarter on record. Asian investors led the charge. Central banks bought 244t (+3% y/y) of gold on a net basis in Q1 despite a visible uptick in selling activity during the quarter. Physical gold demand remains strong, with coin and bar demand leading the way in Q1.

I believe silver will perform better than gold, percentage-wise, in the next leg up that will probably happen with a summer rally.

These new drill results now make this my favorite silver stock.

In my last update on Argenta Silver Corp. (AGAG:TSX.V; AGAGF:OTCQX; T1K:FSE), I commented that only 3% of the project has been explored, and it has strong upside to expand resources.

Drill news this week highlights significant high-grade silver mineralization at the Mani-Copan and Argentina exploration targets, located 800 meters and 1,500 meters, respectively, from the eastern edge of the current mineral resource, which hosts 45.3 million ounces of silver from 2.93 million tonnes grading 482 grams per tonne (g/t) silver (Ag).

The map tells the story as Hole QVD-444: intersected 1,385 g/t Ag over 4.0 m (from 271.0 m to 275.0 m). This high-grade interval confirms the continuity of mineralization at the Mani-Copan target. This is the same target area with the record high assays in 2025 of 4,982 g/t over 7.5 M.

New discovery at Argentina target, not as high grade as Mani but very good:

• Hole QVD-448: returned multiple mineralized intervals, including a high-grade hit of 725 g/t Ag over 3.0 m (from 78.0 m to 81.0 m);
• Hole QVD-450: demonstrated broad mineralization with 134 g/t Ag over 18.0 m (from 181.0 m to 199.0 m), including higher-grade internal of 245 g/t Ag over 4.0 m (from 189.0 m to 193.0 m).

Joaquin Marias, president, chief executive officer, and director of Argenta Silver, commented:

“These results reinforce the emerging district-scale potential at El Quevar. The high-grade intercept at Mani-Copan confirms meaningful silver mineralization beyond the current resource envelope, while consistent high-grade results at the Argentina target further expand the footprint of the system. Importantly, Mani-Copan and the Yaxtche deposit share a comparable geochemical signature; however, Mani-Copan is distinguished by exceptionally high-grade surface samples, a characteristic not observed at the Yaxtche deposit. With two rigs active, more than 14,500 meters completed and additional assays pending, we are systematically advancing El Quevar to define the full scale of this silver system.”

For no good reason, other than the gold and silver market correction, this stock has corrected more than most. We should take advantage of this bargain and buy more.
