SC, ST Anti-Classification Group Calls For Intensified Agitation Programs
At a key meeting held at the Vanchit Bahujan Aghadi (VBA) party office in Jagityala on Wednesday, State President of the SC, ST Categorization Anti-Classification Committee, Gavvala Srikanth, called for a renewed focus on agitation programs against caste classification, appointing new district leaders to spearhead the movement.

Telangana (Before It’s News – IC): During the meeting, Gavvala Srikanth criticized the Mala public representatives for failing to clarify their stance on caste classification. He accused certain leaders of attempting to divert the movement by aligning with these representatives. Srikanth emphasized the need for a proportional caste census before any population classification, asserting that the Supreme Court’s original verdict was beyond its jurisdiction and legally flawed.
- Actions and leadership appointments
In a move to strengthen the anti-classification struggle, Velpula Pramod Kumar Mala was appointed as the Jagityala District Incharge and Telangana Mala Mahanadu State Vice President, while Thigala Shekhar Mala was named the Jagityala District President and SC, ST Anti-Classification Struggle District President. The meeting also highlighted the leadership of Supreme Court lawyer Vadlamuri Krishna Swaroop, who is organizing programs nationwide to challenge the classification verdict attributed to the BJP-led government.
The event saw active participation from key members including Velpula Pramod Kumar, Thigala Shekhar, Dasari Venkati, K Ramachandram, Altati Narsaiya, Sesha Rao, and Mohan, who voiced their support for the ongoing struggle against caste classification.
