Youth Retreat Inspires 1000 Young Minds With David’s Faith Journey

Proddatur – Andhra Pradesh: A day-long Youth Retreat–2025, held at Bethany Chapel, Vizianagaram Street, Proddatur, on Monday, brought together nearly 1,000 young participants in a spirited gathering of worship, reflection, and inspiration. The retreat, themed “He has chosen David His servant…” (Psalm 78:70), focused on faith, courage, and divine purpose through the biblical life of King David.

• Faith in focus: Following the footsteps of David

Presided over by God’s Servant Bro. KM Ephraim, the retreat began with uplifting divine songs, setting the tone for a day of spiritual awakening. In his keynote spiritual address, N Jayaraju, Hebron International Speaker and Divine Messenger, described King David’s life as a “living textbook for today’s youth.” “From shepherd boy to sovereign king, David’s journey teaches us that humility precedes glory, and faith conquers fear,” Jayaraju said.

• Spiritual battles and inner strength

Jayaraju reminded the audience that spiritual growth often invites both praise and persecution. “Discouragement will come—from the best and the worst—but like David, stand firm. Be righteously jealous for God and fight the good fight,” he exhorted. Drawing parallels to David’s victory over Goliath, he added with poetic fervour:

“With a sling in hand and faith in heart,
Even the fiercest giant can fall apart!”

His message resonated with the youth—encouraging them to wield faith as their weapon and truth as their shield in the battles of modern life.

• Echoes of testimony and transformation

Throughout the retreat, participants shared personal testimonies of transformation—how they encountered Jesus Christ and embraced Him as their Lord. Interactive quiz session and moments of worship deepened the sense of fellowship and divine calling. “Each testimony was a spark, each song a prayer, and together they lit a flame of faith,” said one of the organizing brothers at Bethany Chapel.

• Distinguished presence marks the gathering

Former Badvel MLA and National SC Commission Member Kamalamma graced the Youth Retreat, joining several of God’s servants and elders from neighbouring regions. Immersed in worship and fellowship, she expressed joy in experiencing the abundant divine presence that filled the gathering.

• A day of purpose and praise

Bethany Chapel sources confirmed that around 1,000 youth joined the retreat, making it one of the largest spiritual gatherings in recent times at Proddatur. The event ended with renewed devotion and a collective pledge to walk in God’s will—echoing the theme verse of the day: “He has chosen David His servant…”
