Peace in the Middle East – Talks Continue. Getting Closer to the 7-year Peace Treaty!

We are all patiently waiting for the time when the antichrist will sign a 7- year peace treaty with Israel, allowing the temple to be built upon the sacred temple mount location. This end times prophecy seems to be headed into the format needed to make this happen.

Today, on February 11, 2025, Jordan’s King Abdullah II met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House to discuss regional issues, notably President Trump’s proposal concerning the Gaza Strip. President Trump proposed that the United States take control of Gaza, relocate its two million residents, and redevelop the area into a tourist destination. He suggested that neighboring Arab nations, including Jordan and Egypt, accept the displaced Palestinian populations.

King Abdullah reaffirmed Jordan’s firm opposition to the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza. However, in a gesture of goodwill, he agreed to accept 2,000 ill children from Gaza for medical treatment in Jordan. This move was seen as an attempt to maintain diplomatic relations without endorsing the broader resettlement plan.

Throughout the meeting, King Abdullah emphasized the importance of regional stability and the need for a comprehensive approach to the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. He reiterated Jordan’s commitment to a two-state solution and expressed concerns that forced displacement could exacerbate tensions in the Middle East.

Despite the king’s reservations, President Trump remained optimistic about his plan, expressing confidence that Egypt and other Arab nations would support the initiative. He envisioned transforming Gaza into a prosperous area under U.S. oversight, highlighting its potential as an oceanfront vacation spot.

The meeting underscored the complexities of Middle Eastern geopolitics and highlighted the challenges in aligning U.S. proposals with the perspectives of regional allies.

In the meeting between King Abdullah II of Jordan and former President Donald Trump, the “finish line” referenced was related to Trump’s proposal for the future of Gaza. Trump suggested that the U.S. take control of Gaza, relocate its two million residents, and redevelop the area into a tourist destination.

The “finish line” was likely a metaphor Trump used to describe his vision for resolving the Gaza crisis—meaning the end goal of stabilizing the region through his proposed resettlement and redevelopment plan. However, King Abdullah firmly opposed the displacement of Palestinians from Gaza, making it clear that Jordan would not support such a proposal.

As you recall, On February 4, 2025, Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu met with U.S. President Donald Trump at the White House.

During their discussions, the leaders addressed several key issues, including the fragile ceasefire in Gaza, potential normalization between Israel and Saudi Arabia, and strategies to counter Iran’s nuclear ambitions.

A notable highlight of the meeting was President Trump’s proposal for the United States to “take over” the Gaza Strip and transform it into the “Riviera of the Middle East.” He suggested relocating the Palestinian population to neighboring countries during the redevelopment process.

You can see that Presidents Trumps agenda is to have neighboring Arab nations, including Jordan and Egypt, accept the displaced Palestinian populations. Is this something that He sees is necessary in bringing peace to Israel?

More telling information regarding these two separate meetings that He has had. President Trump has been in office less than a month. You can see that an important topic that he intends to make a priority is bringing peace to the middle east.

Trump has proven that he is a person that gets things done. If it’s on his radar, he will make it happen.

So why is all of this information important to us as Christians? President Trump is going to make the 7-year peace treaty possible. This starts the prophetic clock in counting down the final 7 years here on earth. This is one of the most tangible prophecies that is contained in the bible, and we are months away from seeing this happen.

Daniel 9:27 (KJV)

“And he shall confirm the covenant with many for one week: and in the midst of the week he shall cause the sacrifice and the oblation to cease, and for the overspreading of abominations he shall make it desolate, even until the consummation, and that determined shall be poured upon the desolate.”

Interpretation

The phrase “one week” is often understood as a prophetic week of years (7 years).

The “he” in this verse is interpreted by many as the Antichrist, who will confirm a covenant (peace agreement) with many (possibly Israel and other nations).

“In the midst of the week” (3.5 years in) the Antichrist is believed to break the covenant, ending temple sacrifices and setting up the Abomination of Desolation.

This aligns with Jesus’ warning in Matthew 24:15, where He refers to Daniel’s prophecy about the Abomination of Desolation.

The final 3.5 years of this period are linked to the Great Tribulation mentioned in Revelation 13:5 (where the Beast rules for 42 months).

Prophetic Connection

Many eschatologists (end-times scholars) believe this 7-year period refers to the final tribulation before Christ’s return, and the Antichrist will break the peace agreement halfway through.
