I’ve seen a couple of the more recent Releases at Theater of late

Great for YOUNG AND OLD, those who grew up on the #books and those raising their Kids on same!!

#TRAP A-
A different “Weird” (since that word is in fashion these days, LOL) from #MNightShyamalan usual “Weird” scripts and Cinematography (and Starring his #Singer / #Songwriter Daughter – great that he was able to come up with such a wonderful and unique #Film that both He and She could do together)! Critics are roasting the Film but obviously I enjoyed it. Certainly not one like Signs (in fact I watched Signs again recently – and most (like my Sister) get hung-up on the whole “Aliens” in the film aspect and miss the point that it is a “Having Faith” message/movie), Village, and the great “I See Dead People” (yes, yes, “The Sixth Sense”) fare, as well as a couple others; that I have on DVD and watch over and over all the time; but certainly not his worst (what was the Water movie?!?! Lady In The Shower… no Well… no Lake… Whatever… LOL (and I loved Dallas Bryce Howard in The Village; Argylle, Jurassic sequels/reboots, and so many other flicks but; not so much in the Water one))!

Months ago saw (MNight’s Wife? Sister? Too lazy to bother to look up the relation or even her name) the other #Shyamalan #film:

IF you’re seeing #HaroldAndThePurpleCrayon as an Adult; and I just saw it earlier in the week (and I turn 62 this year); since you/we grew up on the #books — you won’t be disappointed! #Movie is a lot of Fun (and I’ve always liked #ZacharyLevi (especially when he played one of my Heroes Kurt Warner in the Bio-Pic (“American Underdog”) done for him; from (I met him several times, got to speak with him a few times in) his Arena Days to SuperBowl legend))! Plus was nice to see Zooey Deschanel in something again (haven’t seen her in anything in ages).

Music, TV, & Politics…

A few weeks back I had a “Lets go to the Lobby for Snacks and Politics” piece and its follow-up “Movies, Snacks, Politics, part 2” so makes sense – lets talk briefly about Music and TV…

But first a brief reprise about Movies – I hope you all caught “They Live” 35^th Anniversary this year (while showing in many Theaters September 2023) and if not at Theaters please rent or stream it after you read this. Reminder: “They Live” an early John Carpenter (Writer/Director) piece where he dared to go down ChristiTutionalist Politics line before I coined the term and “Aliens” (the E.T. variety) as stand-in for the #DeepState always moving and manipulating behind scenes. Human-nature of those willing to go-along-to-get-along to Cash in for themselves. The 15-minute (minor exaggeration) I hinted at in the Movies pieces is great metaphorical outline for the verbal back-and-forth we often have with DUMBocrats to get them to see Reality!

AN ANTI-CRIME and ANTI-VIOLENCE piece, but if/when push comes to shove that we do have a Right to Defend ourselves from it. To protect and prevent our Communities being Arsoned to the ground by ANTIFA and #BlackLyingMarxist Hitlerian Brown-Shirt thugs.

Only the Left and their constant Race-baiting have the gall to say scenes (that show people of ALL RACES) is somehow Racist as an indictment of Black people? Who are the Racists? They are, if they say crime automatically equals Black people! Meanwhile scuttling #BidenCrimeFamily investigations and still creating major reach (stretching beyond all credulity of those Laws intent) on Statutes to try to charge POTUS45/Trump! Spare us the “What about the Lynching that took place at that Courthouse a hundred years ago” manure that no-one knew about until the Leftists #ENEMEdia desperate for a Talking-Point managed to dig up that History. I guess the Hannah Montana and the Christmas Movie filmed there are now also Racist (just like they tried to deem Bing Crosby’s “White Christmas” as somehow Racist). When are Black Americans going to wake up to this pathetic and desperate Race-baiting?!?! Whom, in Poll after Poll show they want more police protection from the runaway and rampant Crime happening due to FASCICRATS weak-on-Crime and other failing policies!!!

Thank you to all that emailed or called CMT or Cable Companies that carry CMT and let them know they would like CMT pulled from their line-up as money will be the only thing they understand. As discussed in the BIDENomics pieces they chase the Woke ESG pennies, we must make then suffer huge dollar loses until they learn to stop pandering to the Cancel Culture manure.

That’s now Movies, Music, but what about TV? May as well take a pot-shot at that too?!?! I had for decades hoped we’d get a reboot of “The Streets of San Francisco;” like Hawaii Five-O was, and Magnum P.I. was; and while I liked those originals (I did not tune-in for those reboots) but that was long before Newsome, Piglosi, others, have completely destroyed it over these last couple of decades. So, maybe best we can hope for is reboot of Adam-12; though that was set in L.A. which has equally degraded into one of Dante’s layers of Hell, but maybe could be reset into a different City; as a method of bringing traditional values and BACK THE BLUE back; as opposed to all the Trash we’re getting these days (like, sadly, the reboot of Quantum Leap went all WOKE)?!?!?

Now after three-parts total of/for “Movies and Politics (Music and TV tacked on in part 3)” I could go on forever, and probably no surprise to anyone that is a regular reader of mine that at some time in near future I would have a part three (more on Movies, and to pivot to Music and TV) as I now have!

Follow-up to the piece a few weeks back discussion of one of my all-time favorite Directors/Producers Roland Emmerich (and the part 2 “Movies, Snacks, Politics” piece): Many know Toby and/or Noah Emmerich, two of the people involved in/with the great Movie CELLULAR (with Noah Emmerich*, Chris Evans, Jason Statham, William H. Macy, Kim Bassinger, more) I just rented (via my DISHnetwork OnDemand feature (sign-up with my VCD0026116345 referral code for discounts)) to watch again as it is an A+ (remember, when that film came out was just at the time of proliferation of Cell phones with advanced features and therefore absolute genius script at that time). A good “temporary escape from Politics film.” From GOOGLE (about Noah): On television, the native New Yorker was a series regular on BACKWASH and played the despondent Dr. Edwin Jenner in the two-part Season 1 finale of THE WALKING DEAD. Emmerich’s brother is film producer Toby Emmerich, but they are not, Emmerich explains, related to Director/Producer Roland Emmerich.

Um… No… Nothing to do with “Harry Potter!”

We are nearing that time again where “It’s A Wonderful Life” (IAWL) will be playing on some channel or another 24×7. I cannot imagine there is anyone, but suppose there must be some folks out there haven’t seen it and refuse to watch it (they get tired of hearing about it); so we won’t go into many Spoilers (if someone hasn’t seen it, doubt it possible they don’t know what it is about and what goes on in the film). This article, will discuss (as the title says: “Politics of Potterville” something I don’t think I’ve ever seen anyone else go into, to fit The Liberty Beacon main “politics” focus). But, however, before we get into that… Another Christmas movie… “DIE HARD!” Yep, that’s right, putting to bed once-and-for-all the falsehood that Die Hard is NOT a Christmas movie.

In the Spirit of “The Twelve Days of Christmas” Simon Ragoonanan wrote on behalf of Picture House Cinemas the “12 Reasons Why Die Hard Is A Christmas Movie” piece and I will quote just a few of his points.

First, foremost, his #11: “The writer says it is — In 2020, Steven E de Souza, co-writer of Die Hard, made a compelling case that not only is Die Hard a Christmas movie, Die Hard is MORE of a Christmas movie than the seasonal classic White Christmas.”

#2: “John McClane’s wife is called Holly — The surname of John McClane’s wife is a key bookend plot point at the heart of the movie. However, this distracts from the significance of her FIRST name, which is Holly – the most Christmassy name she could possibly have (unless she was called Rudolph).” Same reason why Marten’s Wife’s name is “HOPE” in my Terror Strikes: Coming Soon to a City Near You (declaration of Faith, in the manuscript, figurative and literal “Hope, over Fear” in the storyline (both mine, and Die Hard)).

#5: “It has a Christmassy family story — A dad struggling to be reunited with his family on Christmas eve is as Christmassy as it gets.”

UNTIL, Bradford recognized the failure of the Mayflower Compact and their settlement and instituted Free Markets, Private Property ownership, and all the great concepts America then went on to foster – and as the saying goes ‘the rest is History’ (that people fail to learn from). And as Paul Harvey used to say ‘Now you know #TheRestOfTheStory!’”

Yep, just like the Left never learned, the success of “Solar” on the micro level; someone with Panels on their own Property with sufficient on-site Battery capacity to hold the Energy for hours/days the Sun isn’t shining. Abject failure of macro and Solar-Farms that in no-way ever can have Battery capacity for entire Cities let-alone entire States. And too their other lack and grasp of “unintended consequences” of their failing Leftist policies still peddle Climate Hustle (really all about Leftist Money Laundering).

#3: The “Suicide-prevention” message and “one does not always recognize” the fallout, politically and of course effects upon others’ lives in general, of the movie.

Along the “Suicide-prevention” aspects from my Terror Strikes: Coming Soon to a City Near You book “Comic Relief” chapter (weirdly enough, need see the whole chapter for the lead-in context). On average 22 Veterans lives are lost by their own hands (we owe them, we must help them)…

life would have been if he hadn’t lived. He was brought to recall how had it not been for his intervention a pharmacist would have caused the death of a patient

by administering a wrong drug. That, clearly, is a dramatic impact. That, of course, was a movie! In REAL LIFE the influence and impact that people have on others’ lives may be infinitely more subtle! It may even be INDIRECT! The influence and impact that one person has on another may then influence and/or impact another that may then have a major impact on a human life as a whole! You can be someone’s Clarence (a real life, in-the-flesh angel) to help them recover and heal!

BACK TO POLITICS IN GENERAL…

“I have previously discussed via TLB pieces the Fasci-Federalists of today vs original intent Federalists, let-alone the “concerns” the anti-Federalists had/argued about normal Human-nature and an eventual lurch Leftward toward Communism, Fascism, Socialism, Whatever-ism, all complete-Governmental-control schemes/systems on/of THE LEFT side of the overall Political Spectrum as discussed in “A Republic If You Can Keep It” and “Overblown Right-wing Extremism Narrative” and “Twisting/Warping language (part 2)” and “Democrats Always Ignore (Unintended Consequences) Natural Laws of Human Nature” TLB pieces.”

As if there is a bit of difference between Communism-Fascism-Socialism; this isn’t the 1930’s where the German NAZI-SOCIES ((unlike today’s FASCICRATS and American Communist Parties are basically one/same*)) were fighting the Moscow-backed-Marxist-Communists. There are now only minor quibbles between them all on how to exert power/control over all and everything – direct ownership or illusion of private-ownership but dictatorial control via government regulation (all means, to same end). It is all now just which set of Ruling Elites under the temporary banners they fly get to Lord over the imperfection. As said in several of my movies related pieces over time about Guardians Of The Galaxy 3 line: “He promised perfection, but he only really hated things as they were.” Which is the battle-cry of every would-be tyrant promise “utopia” (perfection, but no such thing as “perfect” and while America isn’t perfect it is far better for more (The Greater Good the Left pretends to care about, but too just another warping of a concept they destroy out-of-context)) and all about their “small group of Elites” gaining the power/control over the imperfection.

* As Norman Mattoon Thomas (The Socialist Party candidate for President of US) said in 1944 speech: “The American people will never knowingly adopt socialism. But, under the name of ‘liberalism’ they will adopt every fragment of the socialist program, until one day America will be a socialist nation, without knowing how it happened… I no longer need to run as a Presidential candidate for the Socialist Party. The Democrat Party has adopted our platform.” And he was 100% correct, as I point out all the time the DNC adopted 28 planks of the NSDAP (Nazi-Socies) in their platform (albeit, more carefully crafted, deceptive, verbiage).
