From Israel to AI: Biblical Prophecies Unfolding Before Our Eyes

Recently, I have been drawn to reading more of the Old Testament and about the prophets because through most of my “church life,” it seems that most of the focus has been on the New Testament.

Although the Lord admonishes the people of Israel throughout the Old Testament, I can’t help but notice how it all sounds like what our nation is doing today. From pagan worship, messing with nature through eugenics and transhumanism, killing of children, and calling the good people bad and the bad people good—everything is backwards, upside down, and turned inside out.

And furthermore, if you pay attention to any of the news, you get a daily dose of wars breaking out, a struggling economy at best, natural disasters, strange space phenomena, erratic political alliances, and more—what’s happening to our world?

Some of the answers are in the Scriptures—the Old Testament prophets and the Book of Revelation weren’t just speaking about their own times; they were foreshadowing the events that are happening right now.

The Prophets & Revelation Revealed Our Future

When Isaiah, Jeremiah, Ezekiel, and Daniel wrote their prophecies, they were revealing glimpses of God’s plan for human history. Daniel’s visions about the rise and fall of empires and Ezekiel’s messages about Israel’s restoration and end-times scenarios weren’t just vague ideas. They were precise forecasts about real geopolitical happenings.

And they fit surprisingly well with what we’re experiencing today.

The Book of Revelation ties all these prophetic threads together. John’s visions depict a global economic system, technological advancements and control, and the formation of a one-world religion through spiritual deception. Revelation 13:8 says, “All who dwell on earth will worship” the beast, except those whose names are written in the Lamb’s book of life—suggesting a widespread, unified false worship system.

Revelation also mentions how people won’t be able to buy or sell without a specific mark. It reveals the rise of conflicts that would shake man to his core. Revelation 6:16-17 states: People cry out to the mountains, “Fall on us and hide us…For the great day of their wrath has come, and who can stand?”

Unfolding of Prophetic Signs

What makes this moment in time so remarkable is how these prophetic signs are coming together. Throughout history, parts of biblical prophecy have shown up individually. But we’ve never seen so many elements align at once:

The regathering of Israel as a nation after nearly two thousand years of being scattered, just like the prophets said. The establishment of Israel in 1948 and the ongoing return of Jewish people to their homeland represents one of the most striking fulfillments of biblical prophecy ever.

The alignment of nations detailed in Ezekiel 38-39, where Russia, Iran, Turkey, and others are forming alliances that astonishingly reflect the prophetic texts. It’s as if the geopolitical pieces are moving into place just as Scripture predicted.

The technology for global control that’s mentioned in Revelation is no longer just science fiction. Digital currencies, digital ID, AI, and other emerging tech has now set the stage for a worldwide economic and social surveillance society that was not possible until recently.

Why It Matters

The connection between scripture and the chaos we are experiencing today is important because when you notice how today’s events match what was revealed through the prophets and in the Book of Revelation, it shifts your entire perspective.

It means there’s significance in the chaos. God’s still in control, and history is moving toward the destination He has outlined. This brings a sense of urgency—but also instills hope—Christ will return, evil will be defeated, and God’s people will be vindicated.

The Old Testament prophets and Revelation aren’t just ancient stories. They’re God’s way of revealing to His people what’s ahead and in all the chaos, they offer the clarity we need.

The real question is: are we paying attention?
