Weekend Weather Briefing for Saturday, August 10, 2024

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.

GENERAL OUTLOOK

A cold front will slowly track east across the western Carolinas this morning leading to scattered showers and thunderstorms before pushing east this afternoon. Despite the front, hot and humid conditions will return this afternoon. High pressure will build in behind the departing front Sunday into early next week while the front stalls over the Southeast. This will keep daily shower and thunderstorm chances around through early next week as well as bring slightly cooler and less humid conditions back to the region.
