Weekend Weather Briefing for Sunday, August 04, 2024
Here is the news and weather briefing for Macon County.
GENERAL OUTLOOK
A weak cold front will wash out across the Piedmont of the Carolinas today. The boundary should continue to provide a focus for showers and thunderstorms over the eastern part of the area, while cooling temperatures back closer to average. Meanwhile, Tropical Storm Debby is forecast to track northward over the eastern Gulf of Mexico today while slowly strengthening, reaching the Florida Gulf Coast Monday morning. The eventual track and timing of this system will determine our weather through the middle of the week.
