More German Christmas Market Mayhem

% of readers think this story is Fact. Add your two cents.

Christmas is a time for traditions old and new. One of the new ones is imported mayhem at German Christmas markets:

At least five people have been killed, including a small child, and dozens of others have been injured following the incident in Magdeburg, according to local officials.

Dozens? Make that over 200.

They say the suspect is a 50-year-old Saudi doctor who first came to Germany in 2006.

The Christmas market has been closed. Soon all German Christmas markets will be closed, for reasons of public safety, giving moonbats cause to celebrate another victory for inclusion.

Olaf Schulz reacted predictably:

Germany’s leader has called on the nation to stand together against hate.

Also predictably, CNN reflexively suggested that the right wing could be responsible:

The CNN spin ignores the context:

Similar attacks have targeted Christmas markets in other cities, including the 2018 attack in Strasbourg, France, where five people were killed and several more were injured, as well as incidents in Nantes, France, and other cities in Germany.

Ensuring the safety of Christmas markets has been a heightened concern since 2016, when an Islamist extremist drove a truck into a crowd at a Berlin Christmas market, killing 13 people and injuring dozens more.

An AP headlines implies the car did it on its own:

German media appears to be going with the line that the Saudi is an anti-Islamic right-winger — even while effectively admitting that his presence in Germany is a symptom of open borders lunacy. Via Modernity:

German outlet Der Spiegel reports that 50-year-old Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen, reportedly a specialist in psychiatry and psychotherapy, was allowed to stay in Germany despite repeated requests for extradition by the Saudi authorities and at least three warnings that he was a dangerous criminal.

German authorities were afraid his fellow Saudis would not be nice to him, so they let him stay.

Der Spiegel is claiming that the man no longer identifies as an Islamist, writing that “He appears on the Internet as an ex-Muslim and opponent of Islam.”

Der Spiegel admits it doesn’t know his motive, but levels an accusation:

“SPIEGEL research has shown that Taleb A. openly sympathized with the AfD online.”

Why this would motivate him to drive through a Christmas market like an Islamist is unclear.

Meanwhile, in Essen:

I stood in the Christmas market, amid the oom-pah music, the fairy lights and the little stalls selling hot chocolate, hefty sausages, toys, candles and all the ephemera you would expect at a traditional German Christmas market…

But then,

[I]n mid-afternoon on Sunday December 8, this snug ambiance – what the Germans like to call ‘Gemütlichkeit’ – was suddenly disrupted by chants of ‘Allahu Akbar’.

Out of nowhere came a large, boisterous crowd – mostly Arabic, almost entirely young men – who barged past the fairground rides and on down the narrow pathways between the market traders with their jewellery displays, gingerbread houses and puppet shows.

On and on they came for more than an hour, chanting unfamiliar slogans and waving flags and banners.

Reports say that there were upwards of 10,000 marchers.

The scene in Essen doesn’t look very Christmassy:

The message is clear: Hide in your homes, Germans. It’s our country now.

The government that created this crisis situation responds to the problem it caused by confiscating Swiss army knives from little old ladies while letting Islamic colonists run riot:

Whatever the motive of Taleb Al-Abdulmohsen might be, he clearly should not have been in Germany, which has been rendered a very dangerous place by leftist attempts to displace the population.
