Until Democrats start naming names and apologizing for their reckless, craven conduct as it relates to Joe Biden, I don’t want to hear another word about Pete Hegseth’s Signal chats.

It was fine timing to get news over the weekend that the former president, a well established dotard, has an advanced and aggressive form of prostate cancer that has reached his bones. There’s a strong likelihood that Biden was diagnosed with some stage of the disease before he was even elected president, and he almost certainly had it while in office. Yet the public knew nothing until Sunday.

Prayers up for Biden, but this is an appalling scandal. And it comes just as the dying news media are finally acknowledging that, yeah, Biden’s brain was rapidly browning over as he sat in the Oval Office, where he was losing track of space and time as the commander of the United States military, the point person for nuclear war.

Recall that now-Republican Rep. Ronnie Jackson, when he was serving as Donald Trump’s first-term White House physician in 2018, rendered a medical summary on the president that more or less described Trump as in good health, if a little overweight and in need of some exercise. The dying media questioned him for an hour at a press conference. They were sure that Jackson was deceiving the public by not divulging some mental affliction that would have affirmed their feverish desire to see Trump removed from office by way of the 25th Amendment.

White House reporters asked Jackson exhausting questions, including how long he had examined Trump and how many people were present for the medical probe.

Then into the White House came Biden, a melting replica of the Crypt Keeper, and boy, oh boy, did the equally busted news media lose interest in the sitting president’s health. On occasion, they asked Biden if he was doing alright, like when a special counsel last year characterized him as a “elderly man with a poor memory” and with “diminished faculties.” They asked him some perfunctory questions about his well being, and then it was back to the regularly scheduled programming — Donald Trump is a threat to democracy!

Prior to the election, I would regularly wonder what Democrats and, more crucially, the dying news media were going to do once Trump won. The things they had been proven to have lied about — Covid, the economy, crime, the border — couldn’t be explained away. They could only be confessed to, and if they weren’t going to do that, what would be left of them?

Now we know just how bad it was. They went broke, blowing all of their credibility to shield a dying president who had no business running for reelection, let alone running the country.

But we’re supposed to feel rocked by Trump’s Defense Department secretary using a certain chat app to discuss military business with other cabinet officials. No, thanks!

What Democrats and the dying news media have done is unforgivable, and still, they don’t apologize for putting our national security in jeopardy, and they don’t account for lying in the faces of every American voter.
